All 1st and 2nd generation migrants need to visit this place to understand everything that is wrong with us people. Wallah if you don't fully understand the mind of a Brexit voter by the time you leave then chances are you are also part of the problem.
I ordered an Full English Breakfast, I politely asked if the sausage was a spicy/desi sausage? To which I received an awkward response "We don't sell bland sausages". I was slightly perplexed as I thought well it doesn't answer my question in fact I'm going to have to ask a further question to get to the bottom of this game of riddle I find myself in. After trying to figure out if it was a spicy sausage or not I got told listen order it or don't order it followed by one of the worst attempts at using an analogy... "You don't order a Astra and then expect a Ferrari?" I'm confused as hell at this point because he wouldn't replace the spicy sausage (it's basically a shiekh kebab masquerading like a sausage). I just ordered off the menu and didn't bother ordering what I actually wanted because it seemed like more hassle than it was worth.
We take a seat.... after 3 requests for an ETA for our breakfast and 45 mins later we eventually get into a shouting match because, the famous short dude with half a functioning brain starts making up stories about how he informed us from the start that it would be 45min wait. He didn't! and we know this because we only had 45mins in our itinerary to stop off for some breakfast so why would we agree to wait 45mins just to get breakfast which leaves us 0 mins to eat. Bear in mind there are about 5 other places we could have eaten at just a few doors away. Because of this guy we ended up missing the first 20 mins of the Everton vs Luton game that affected 6 people who travelled a long long distance for that game and a further £35 parking fine because of us rushing to get to a game that we would have otherwise missed half of.
This experience is now Etched Firmly in my memory as the source point of everything negative that happened on a Historic day for Luton Town FC winning their...
Read moreFood is really nice most of the time (as well as the desi chai), and prices are reasonable too. What stands out for me when I think of Tasty Bites though is poor customer service. I've eaten frequently in the last couple of years from this business, and I think its fair to say there are improvements to be made. 1. Rude behaviour from one particular member of staff. His manner alludes to him maybe owning the place if not managing it, either way, he is offish, offensive in tone, and generally snappy and rude. 2. Many times the wait can be a while, especially if you haven't pre-ordered on the phone. There are busier businesses and they tend to be able to manage it better, so being busy should not be an excuse, but a motivation to perform better. 3. General customer service. Things need to be repeatedly told, orders have at times been not done as asked, or plain ignored. I've stopped eating from Tasty Bites unless I have absolutely no choice, mainly due to the first point. If you have opened a business and you cannot at least maintain a polite manner, then it's...
Read moreTasty bites is a great place to eat; food is always great, yet- the owner himself is extremely rude to his customers. He tends to make abrupt comments that are not necessary or required from him. One example would be of him saying " you know we can't drop everything for you and make a drink! should have ordered it on the phone!" when I simply just asked for a tea coming to collect my food I ordered on the phone. I was more than happy to wait. yet was this comment needed? probably not. I feel this creates a tense atmosphere for other customers who just seem to look around at each other in exasperation at his behavior. I do feel It really brings the business into disrepute because not many people return due to his mannerisms; which again- is a shame as the food is good. I do hope he takes this into consideration because one day- someone will probably react negatively to...
