I placed an order at M.T. Bellys through Uber Eats, and I must say that I was far from impressed.
For starters, I ordered the set meal for 2, which was supposed to include poppadoms as a side. Did I receive any poppadoms? No, I did not!
But the disappointment didn't just stop there... just look at the naan bread I received. I'm sure you can agree that it just looks so sad.
To add to the train of disappointment, the portions of curry I received were very small; certainly not worth the £11 they charge! (Albeit that price includes a side, but judging from the naan I received, you wouldn't get a side that you'd actually want to eat). You could get a much larger and tastier curry for the same price from a competing takeaway.
Next up on the agenda is drinks. I ordered two cans of Coca-Cola, but what I actually got was Barr Cola, a mere cheap off-brand alternative. You can't offer Coca-Cola on the menu if that is not what you are serving to customers. A great example of a completely deceptive practice used by M.T Bellys to cut costs and trick consumers!
The only slightly redeeming fact to my meal was the starter, which was exactly as described and more than edible, especially if you've had a few drinks. Oh, and I shouldn't forget the side salad, which was basic, only compromising of 3 ingredients (tomato, cucumber, and lettuce), however I can't complain too much. At least it was fresh 🤷♂️
My final verdict, you ask... Was all this worth the £24.50 I paid? Nope
Would I order again? Absolutely not
Would I recommend M.T Bellys? Not to...
Read moreGot told our order had been delivered when it hadn’t. When we have tried to resolve the issue the staff were so rude and seemed to be accusing us of lying when in fact we have cctv to prove there hasn’t been any delivery. When we told the staff we had the camera footage they were so rude in the reply” well send it over””send it my mobile”. Such an unprofessional response. At first they claimed his driver was stood next to him agreeing the order had been delivered as he was the one who had delivered it, in the next breath the was saying it was just eat that had delivered it. We normally always order from here so are in shock and disappointed in the service we have received tonight. Would warn anyone before ordering from here. We now sat £30...
Read morePopped in here by chance while driving through Bolton. Ordered a ‘large’ chicken Karahi that came with 2 naan breads. Very steep at £12 for what it is. Made worse so when I got home and opened the long silver container to find it only half full. Really measly portion size and well overpriced. However, the curry did taste good so torn between leaving too negative a review. Not sure if I will go back but if I do, I will ask them to fill the tray as you can get a full tray of curry almost everywhere else for under a tenner in a takeaway. Another positive is that they take card payments which can be an issue at a lot of...
