This isn't so much about this branch of KFC but more about who has been chosen to be employed here. I recently ordered some food to be delivered to my work, as I can't leave the building whilst I'm on shift. We, at the swimming pool have never had a problem before with deliveries; my colleague even did a KFC delivery the day previously that was successfully delivered. However my delivery driver didn't seem to know how to use a door and claimed to have tried to contact me several times before leaving my food by the enterance to the swimming pool. The delivery driver would have known that the pool was open as to perform a delivery, they have to access a carpark through a one way system, that brings them directly to the front of the building where the swimming pool is, bringing them in full view of a swimming pool full of people. I was on reception at the time and so I know that he never entered the building. As I had put an order in I kept my phone on me. It never rang. The volume was all the up so the mis call that I did recieve must have been hung up as soon as the driver had apparently tried to call me. He reported back that he had tried to contact me several times which clearly was not true. I had my eye on the status update whilst my food was out for delivery. I saw the driver location on the map, directly out side the building and in next to no time the food had it's status changed to delivered. I immediately went to the entrance where there was no sign of any food or a delivery driver. By all meansgo into the restaurant and eat but don't trust the delivery drivers.
UPDATE*
Thank you for the reply I'm sorry to give a one star review and I will take it down as soon as Just Eat have resolved it. They disregarded the refund initially and sided with the driver, but when I explained that the driverwould have found it impossible not to find me if he'd have tried; I recieved a reply at 1am saying that the refund would indeed be processed. I know it's not your branch staff but I just couldn't let the driver or such a large company as just eat to get away with my...
Read moreShort story: The Staff decided to steal 9p from me instead of have the till down by 1p
Long Story: Ordered food from one of the machines, however was called over by one of the cashiers that they were out of krushims (which is fine I decided to have a coke instead). As he was getting my order ready I reminded him that could I get refunded 99p for the change in drink (it costs 99p more).
It's a tough job as a cashier, you cant remember all the prices so he is forgiven for not knowing or remembering but anyway he passed it over to what I can assume was a supervisor, she asked for my receipt and then just said do you just want the 99p refund (she literally said the amount back to me, a key point of the story) which I said yeah. Again all fine.
During this I had my food and was eating it (it was nice food btw, hence 2 stars and not 1) as they sorted it. But then I was called over and she handed my my change. 90p! Not 95 not £1 just 90p, without a sorry "we didnt have change" or mention.
So I can only assume they didnt have change and preferred to steal from me than have the till down by 1p. Such a stupid thing to complain about and do on their behalf. I might have excused it if it was a cashier as working the tills can be stressful. But a supervisor! Amazing...
Anyhow I just enjoyed my food and made zero fuss, acted a model customer (cleaned up my table and put my waste away, even saying thank you as I left). I didnt complain about the "robbery" because all it would have done stressed me out before work. Its 9p! It's not like I need it and I had to remind them about the refund in the first place, I didnt want to further fuss over 9p. But the point is KFC staff either on purpose or sub consciously prefer to steal from you than lower their profits by a single penny. They didnt even try to maybe suggest a reason for it, just confidently handed it over. They wont be having my custom again. Short term gain of 9p must be more valuable to them. Such a Shame that they prefer to steal pennies for such a minor convenience caused on their part for not having...
Read moreI visited the store on the 16th November at lunch time. Took away the meals and there was gravy spilling out of both dirty Louisana box meals. They were in a rush as it was really busy. Spoke to the manager Andy on 17th November with regards to the experience. Andy advised that he will replace both meals and to turn up with my receipt. I turned up to KFC on derby Street, Bolton and Andy said he will replace the meals but not the original meals I ordered. Andy said he will give me 2 pieces of chicken and fries. I was gobsmacked with his suggestion and stood my ground and advised I will go to head office. After 20 minutes customers started complaining about the que and Andy still carried on arguing with me. Customers started coming over and telling Andy just replace the meal because there was a mistake in my order. Andy finally replaced and it was a take away. I arrive home to consume the food and there was a red hair inside the burger. I called KFC derby Street straight away and Andy said he can only refund me one meal because there was only one hair?!?! I said I'm going to head office and he accused me of threatening him? How can such managers be in charge! I advised him that he should put all his hair into a net if he is preparing and serving food. Andy's response was that the net is not long enough to tie up in a hair net even though his hair was coming down to his neck. Andy suggested that i am looking for free food and i was bullying him. Andy also advised that it was him who prepared the food for me but then later on denied it in the phone call. I am utterly shocked and disgusted with Andy's attitude and I have been put off KFC! I have reasonably requested a refund for all the meals due to the experiences. I am bemused as to how a manager can disregard it and say 'there was only one hair in the burger'... wow! Disgusting! How do you expect me or others to eat the rest of the meals when hygiene has been compromised?? KFC derby Street should change its name...
