It's our first time eating here, thank you for such a warm, friendly welcome! We had the food to go and it came out really fast and it was carefully well wrapped. We loved the oxtail stew (mikila) with pounded yam! Tender meat and delicious sauce! The Egusi soup with mixed meat had mostly chewy hard bits and way too much tripe for my liking, but I appreciate it might be a matter of personal preference - also is a very flavoursome dish, perfumy almost. The plantain portion was very generous. The Fumbwa was lovely and creamy (ocazi leaves are a sort of wild spinach, this dish has them chopped very tiny and mixed with peanut butter). The food was out of this world literally, the pounded yam nice and soft, Banga Soup was just mouthwatering, every bite just made me want more! And the Taba (don't get me started) I used to have Taba as a kid and throughout my years never found a place that made Taba the way this one place made it when I was young... Tried this place for my birthday and the Taba was spot on like they were the ones that made it when I was little... 100/10...
