Maeme's Piri Piri — Restaurant in Bolton

Ordered fried chicken on Friday at 4 PM, but it was very dry and hard to eat. I couldn’t even finish half of it and had to throw it away. One of the spicy wings also had visible chicken hair on it, which was very off-putting.

I’ve ordered from here before and it was good, but this time the food had no taste and felt like a waste of money. I came to your takeaway after seeing TikTok videos and had high expectations, but I’m honestly disappointed.

The owner replied to my feedback, and although they apologized, they claimed there was no fried chicken order today and questioned why I threw it away if I ate inside. I want to clarify: this was a takeaway order on Friday, and I do have the receipt as proof.

It feels like the owner didn’t really understand or take my feedback seriously. If a customer points out an issue, it should be accepted with professionalism not dismissed with attitude. I’m not trying to argue, just asking that the food quality be improved and customer feedback be...

I got to know recently that,,, Maeme's Piri Piri has opened in Bolton, went there with my wife yesterday. Really loved the food, everything was freshly made, tasty to eat and environment was clean. I have tried their loaded fries, american beef and texan beef burger. Good thing about them, serving is proper in size and beef patties were in fact larger than expected. I'll suggest, burgers can be made bit more juicy though. I met the owner there as well, such a nice and humble gentleman. On my request, he allowed to have a visit of kitchen to witness the hygiene. I'd give this a zero if I could. Ordered a burger meal for eat in and the food was served cold and tasted bland. I was only given 1 tub of garlic sauce which was half full for the fries which isn't enough. For the price paid I wouldn't go there again. Too many of the same takeaways in Bolton or in the BL3 area which serve the same/similar type of food and is becoming a much of a muchness and boring. Also the electronic menu inside the takeaway falsely advertises the drinks but we get given cans of drinks from the fridge rather than poured fresh like advertised on the images of the electronic menu.
