Usually we order a take away on a Saturday (3 people order) and we've also eaten there to on a couple of occasions and we cant fault the food or staff.
Weve been going to this place for over a year and the food as been continuously good which is a rare find when it comes to takeaways as standards usually drop in most places and we eventually move on to find the next best find and this as been a rare find.
The food is always outstanding especially the chicken madras and vindaloo which we order without fail along with the egg fried rice chips, nan and popadoms on a Saturday night and its a the only takeaway we have and throughly enjoy. You also know when you receive the boss mans curry because it goes up another notch not that i can fault any of them but his are elite, we don't know what he does but he really does have the magic touch!
The staff are phenomenal and when i’ve been with friends to eat in they're always attentive, very professional and friendly.
However, there is a small down side to such a good review and thats the price rise its become far too expensive to takeout now which is absolutely gutting. Ive tried to cut back by changing the egg fried rice to boiled, order 1 popadom rather than the 3 from garlic naan to plain and cut out the sauces, with 3 curries and 2 chips (which are small in portion) its now hitting the £50 mark and thats with the cut backs i made afterwards which isn’t affordable on a weekly basis. I could accept it if we were dining in but in hindsight it isn’t realistically possibly And usually Theres usually a discounts in other places if you takeout and pick up. So were having to rein in our weekly orders to maybe 1 or 2 per month as its more affordable to eat else where which is disappointing on so many levels as its our favourite place to eat.
Overall though this isn't a place you should over look by any means because the food alone is of a high standard and i cant fault them in any other way other...
Read moreMe & wife visited the place on the Bank Holiday weekend in hunt of authentic Indian food, but were disappointed at every step. We ordered Paneer chat Pure , samosa chat & also paneer butter masala, mango lassi, cheese garlic kulcha, dal tadka & veg pulav.
At the outset the service was slow when you think that the entire restaurant was empty, this later on picked up well. The paneer chat pure was bland in taste and the richness as expected was missed. Samosa chat had a very okayish samosa with a very strong hint of cumin seeds, more over the samosa was cold (normally the samosa is freshly fried and then spiced upon), also the yogurt was almost absent.
Then came the paneer butter masala, while we had requested it to be prepared hot, the entire gravy was sweet (we had 1 green chilly cut into 2 put in the gravy to serve our request). This was terribly disaapointing, for almost 10£ this was a sheer waste of money. To top it off, our cheese kulcha bread was wrongly served as garlic kulcha bread, which when told about was promptly replaced. Then the dal tadka, was overly salty and had a very strong turmeric flavour, which was a dampener. The pulav and the mango lassi were pretty fine.
All in all, this was a very expensive meal which made us felt that we were duped. The restaurant is pricey for sure, almost charging London rates in Bolton. We are vegetarians so can't comment on the meat & fish items. I believe this is a restaurant serves specifically to the British pallet and not as authentic as it claims. For all the desis kindly avoid this one.
The service as well could use with some improvent, in a fine dining restaurant the customer is asked to go to the till to pay the bill with card.
I would like to say that the restaurant has made great arrangement to ensure social distancing and Covid19 measures, kudos for...
Read moreThis was my first time coming to this indian restaurant and it was my daughter that mentioned we should go as it's not too far from where she lives, so we had a great day out beforehand and headed here for our evening meal, I parked up in a disabled bay which was very close to the entrance and once we got inside it was very open and light. I needed the loo so I headed off to the toilets which I can confirm have a disabled toilet which was very clean and tidy with all you need and to clean up after including a hand dryer. There was enough room to get in but not big enough to turn around in so going backwards isn't a problem for my electric wheelchair and the door is wider than normal toilet doors. They removed a chair for me to be seated at the table and drinks were served first. I really got to mention the water walls that devide the tables in the middle, they had fairy style lights around the sides with white spotlights shining from the bottom upwards. I only had the main meal (keema madras) which was very nice and just the way it usually tastes but with an air of quality to it. The service was excellent but I did have to say pardon twice as I found the guy to be a little softly spoken. Each of us enjoyed our stay there and the meals we asked for, all in all a very pleasant place to eat and yes we shall return in the near future. This is definitely a goto place to eat if you love a good curry and even better with friends and family or those looking for a venue to take on larger groups especially birthday events...
