BB's Cafe — Restaurant in Borough of Pendle

In one word (pathetic,)went there at 1.10pm Friday ,arrived at hot food section after queuing for 10 minutes ,small poor hot food menu,apart from that sandwiches made with the cheapest fillings and bread you can find,got told that there was no hot food with no reason why (what a joke) had to resort to crud sandwiches,picked out a smoked ham sandwich which was above the smoked ham label on the shelf, when I got back to the table opened it and got greeted with a turkey + cranberry+mayo sandwich (by the way more mayo and find the turkey). within 15 min of sitting down someone on the next table has as a HOT beans on toast delivered, followed 10 mins later seeing a waitress delivering 2 plates with HOT bacon sandwiches.as you can imagine by this point I am fuming.compained to someone in charge of things,and all I got told was they were having problems with a delivery.not good enough,they need to jack it in and get someone in who knows what they're doing ,by the way there were at least 20 people behind us waiting for hot food,do they not not know the concept of putting up signs letting people know they did not have any hot food,STAY WELL AWAY,over priced+crud food...

This place is very much like a staff or hospital canteen. Pick your own drinks and sandwiches and place on a tray.

Paninis were okay. Nothing special.

Soft drink cans priced incredibly high.

The lowlight was the rude staff member serving coffee. I asked my wife what she wanted and she said a "flat white". Firstly I must comment that she said it to me, and not a staff member but the staff member heard this, and all of a sudden, a black coffee was placed in front of me and the staff member said, "there is your flat white. The milk is there." Whilst pointing to the UHT packets nearby.

I was quite taken aback and asked, "this is a flat white?" The response was, "yes". I said no, it's clearly a black coffee and the staff member remained stoned face.

They didn't have flat white on the menu so I ordered my wife a cappuccino as alternative. Luckily, I was going to order a black coffee for myself.

No need for such flippant behaviour because someone says they want something off menu before realising it...

Unnecessary queue for seats. Waved to a cleanish table where we put our reserved stand on. We had to queue for baked potatoes while about 20 people went past us. Totally ignored by staff without an apology or explanation. When they eventually condescended to serve us. No beans no chilli. Salad was mixed with yesterday's with brown bits on ends. Coleslaw 90p extra so didn't bother. Another 10 min to be served coffee. Got back to table after 20 min to find someone sitting at table. Asked to be seated again and got tutted at. Had to get new cutlery as the ones given were dirty with food crusted on. Potato was lukewarm and hard in the middle. I had been told good things about this cafe but won't bother again. £6.90. for this was not value for money. Staff were ignoring customers and not making eye contact. Not busy but queues due to poor service with staff hanging about with a sulky attitude. No urgency to serve or look after customers treated like an inconvenience....
