Bellini Egham — Restaurant in Borough of Runnymede

Well that was a sorely disappointing experience... the waiting staff were so nice, the olives were very good but somehow this restaurant seems to think they can pass off severely sub-standard improperly prepared dishes to their customers. Let me give you two specific examples:

lamb shanks. The meat was fine, tender and falling apart as you might expect. So why was this served in a mixture of mint sauce out of a jar and ready-made gravy? Euw. And the mash? What was that? Did it ever see a potato? Baby food is nicer.

chicken pizza. Had a few tiny dots of chicken on it. Tomato sauce and mozzarella was painted on thinly. Pizza was so under baked the dough was still bendy.

To the credit of the chap in charge, he gave us a discount on the bill because we gave these comments at the time.

Honestly, if you want italian food - go elsewhere in Egham or Englefield Green.

Oh yes, and while other reviewers have commented positively on social distancing, we experienced none of that. We chose not to sit inside because the tables do no allow for safe passing of customers and staff. The staff we met did not wear masks or gloves and came as close to us as you might have expected pre-pandemic. Our cutlery was handled in front of us by those same staff. The menu we received was greasy indicating it had been handled numerous times. This restaurant may be doing something positive on this behind the scenes but it was...

Management was absolutely rude. I decided to give this restaurant a try however when I arrived I asked staff/manager if they served coffee. Without the knowledge that I wanted to eat as well, I was told if I am not ordering any food I cannot order a coffee either. I was so offended by this that I then refused to sit and eat at this restaurant. The manager nit inly refused me service but also felt the need to tell me how I am not a costumer unless I sit and order a whole meal. Regardless of the way they run business here, I do not think it was right to treat a costumer this way. I will never be giving any business to this restaurant and due to the rude abrupt behaviour of the management at this location I will not be recommending to anybody. No matter how good the food, without adequate service there is nothing. A solid 1 star for failing to accommodate...

Bellini is so much more than just a restaurant it’s a place that feels like home. For the past three years, I’ve been coming here regularly, whether with friends, family, or on my own. And every time, I’ve been met with kindness, warmth, and a genuine sense of care.

Even when dining alone, I’ve never felt alone. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive.

And the food is consistently amazing. My absolute favorite dish something the team knows very well by now is the gnocchis. Without exaggeration, they serve the best gnocchis I’ve ever had in my life.
