The Red Lion — Restaurant in Borough of Runnymede

What a great deal! During our most recent visit I was made aware of their latest fantastic deal. Any pizza and two cocktails Monday to Friday from 17.00 for £17.95, an absolute steal. The pizza is very authentic and the cocktails, well, two never seems to be enough as they are yummy.

A truly fantastic place to meet friends for drinks and a catch up, have a fabulous meal in their restaurant or watch the sport on various screens (indoors) or the spacious outdoor seating area.

Excellent Pizza! After the long months of lockdown going out for lunch was a real treat and we have been to The Red Lion a couple of times since they were able to fully reopen. They now do authentic Italian pizza but I wasn't sure whether to give it a go. Well, I ordered one (Soho - delicious) during our second visit and was not disappointed. The pizza dough is very tasty and the ingredients are fresh - it was a real treat and I can thoroughly recommend it. I wouldn't normally order pizza in a pub but I am glad I did and have already recommended the pizzas to some friends. Apart from their extensive Menu and Pizza Menu, they do a Pie and Curry of the Day so plenty of choice...

Imagine spending your money in a pub, like over a 100 pounds. Meeting new people who like you and you like them. Then some women enter the pub and start abusing people you just meet. Then trying to calm things down and end up being accused yourself off doing wrong. The people who were accused left and I stayed cause I did nothing wrong and wanted to Finnish the drinks I paid for. The so called bar manager, some eastern euro dude asked you to talk to him and already made his decision you are in the wrong and basically tells you to leave and accuses you of harassing, which absolutely did not happen . Stay far away from this pub. The police had to come to finally let me go and finish my drink. What an absolute joke this place is. These women who were clearly up to cause problems maybe spent 6 pounds…… and I, so where others, who choose to leave, where shamed and abused after completely entertaining our and myself and others ln for over 150-200 pounds and fun fact is, I only fall for women over 50 lol. Awful food and service! Unfortunately for us, we chose a table near the TV (which was on silent at the time with some nice background music playing), just as our food came out the music went off and the TV was put on full volume and all the footy fans pulled their chairs up around us! Felt like all eyes were on us as we ate so we then took our plates and moved to another table, the bar staff watched this without offering any help and most importantly did not advise us that there was another seating area out the back away from all the TV noise and shouting. Then to top it all, just as my husband was eating his last piece of garlic bread (bread in hand and chewing) a member of staff came up to us, whipped our plates away without a word and walked off with them, even though there was still food in the bowls! The food looked and tasted like they had purchased it from the shop opposite (Iceland), it was the worst that I have had in a while! We were not the only couple complaining. They even went down into the cellar and left the hatch open for anyone to fall down! Will...
