June 2022 OMG! We got a correct order! And it was hot! And fresh! So, doing what you should do makes this part a 3* review. It raises the average a bit but not enough to make it 2* overall.
3 months on... Same old, same old. Ordered 2 meals in the 3 months. One was breakfast for 3 people and the other was a late fast lunch for 3. The breakfast order was correct. Yay! But it was, at best, tepid. The lunch order was wrong. We ordered a bacon tasty meal, a quarter pounder meal, 9 nuggets with sauces and a quarter pounder. No sauces. I can see that gets overlooked and we've all got tomato ketchup at home. No biggy except there was another error. There was one quarter pounder missing! Well, we don't have them at home. And all the food was cold. We live about a 1 minute drive from the restaurant, so it's not getting cold in transit. I just don't understand it.
Why keep using this McDonald's, I hear you cry. Well, we don't use McDonald's much (except these past 3 months) and most McDonald's ratings in the area are between 3.6 and 3.9. This one is rated 4.0. We keep trying on the basis that it is by far the nearest on the odd occasion it makes sense to grab something to eat quickly and we can't keep getting rubbish service. By the law of averages we are due a * 5 star meal very soon.
Is it just me, or are the buns getting smaller?
Updated 1 year on from previous review. Removed a star. It's not unlucky. This is one seriously dreadful McDonald's. In the year since the last review I've had the misfortune to use this branch 3 times. Each time the burgers have been congealed, tepid, soggy bunned detritus.
There's clearly an opportunity for a competitor in the area. Even something serving rat burgers might have a chance if they are cooked fresh and warm.
Prior Review 3 items ordered. +Optional dip. That's 4 things expected in all. Bag delivered. Open bag. 2 items. Ok, so you miss the dip. But large fries missing? That's a bit obvious. Attention to detail guys. Attention to detail. And that's the third time we've had the same complaint this year Note: we use McDonald's about 5 times a year! This particular outlet is particularly poor. Poor management. Poor staff. Poor cleanliness (has stunk like a sewer) and it's SO dangerous for traffic and pedestrians. In addition, the food is seldom fresh. It's seldom hot and it's up there in the "carpet burger" hall of fame. Why did I give it 2 stars? The manager gave us some extra fries. Was presented a tray with my order, stated that it was a take away order and asked for a bag, was given a small bag and was obviously expected to bag it up myself! Not actually am issue for me but the bag obviously wasnât big enough for the order. I asked for a bigger bag, and was told we donât have any âDâ bags and the colleague just walks off âŚ. Honestly why am I made to feel like I was being unreasonable!
The manager eventually came over and gave me (actually just slaps it down in the counter) a massive Uber delivery bag, fair enough does what I need, however still had to bag my food up myself!
The biggest issue here, whilst waiting a young girl next to me bought her order back, she made it clear on the order no mayo, she was lactose intolerant, her order had mayoâŚâŚ. The poor girl made it clear she had an allergy and when she reported the restaurant failing the SAME manager dismissed her too! I did mention to him that A) I was unhappy with the way he dealt with me and B) getting allergens wrong was absolutely unacceptable. His response, is that a threat?    Read moreProbably the worst McDonalds iâve dealt with and unfortunately itâs my local. Every Wednesday i torture my kids with a meal from McDonalds against my better judgement but that's what they want. I go through the drive-through after my school run, order, collect and get back home for meetings etc. In 12 months they have got my order wrong 5 times and i find out when i get home. I have meetings, i cant go back straight away.
I have called them on a couple of occasions after an incorrect order and on one occasion told them the week after when i visited again. The response every time? âIf you dont have a receipt theres nothing we can doâ. The shift manager Mohammed was very insistent and would not budge. No empathy, no apology and almost implied i was lying. Who lies about McDonalds food, seriously?
Shocking, terrible service. When i pay for the order you ask me to check the screen so that the order is correct. Which it is. But for some reason you cant put the right items in the bag.
