This is a classic British style pub/restaurant specialising in Mexican food and pulling it off rather well if you ask me (a veteran Mexican snaffler😊)! Situated by a creek in Faversham - nice setting actually. Went here for a first date and was really pleased. Nice atmosphere - relaxed, comfortable and surroundings of a decent standard. Food was excellent - I had the steak fajitas - a dish which is the acid test if any Mexican restaurant. My verdict - these were the best steak fajitas I have ever had, ever. The steak (high quality to begin with) was perfectly cooked - medium rare and lovely and juicy - this partly because of the skill of the chef but also because the steak was cut thick and this avoids the problem you see in chains where thin cut steak is cooked through and well, simply not as nice. My date had the chicken fajitas and was equally happy. Service, attentive without being intrusive so full marks there as well. So finally, the cost - approx £50 for the two of us with a glass of wine each and a creme brulee between two of us (was excellent too) so all in all really good value. Excellent place that made for a successful first date thanks and only wish I had took some photos of the food (was too busy...

Upon arrival the pub looked really nice, had no issues parking up. We had booked a table quite far in advance for my birthday, when we walked in there we had to ask if we could sit outside to eat as apposed to be asked where we would like to sit
We walked outside to dirty, sticky tables, so immediately walked back indoors to ask to be sat indoors instead.
The lady serving our table was nice enough, polite, but took forever to approach us on every occasion we wanted service
We ordered drinks, they eventually turned up about 25 minutes later. We ordered starters, which took a while, but we're quite nice. The second round of drinks took so long we ended up just walking to the bar inetead
The mains came out - the steak for the fajitas you could compare to an old pair of leather sandles
The enchilada was really bland, so it had been smothered with an abundance of black pepper to try and give it any taste, which in turn made it taste strange and left a dirty after taste
After two mouthfuls I chose not to eat any more. The fully loaded chips on the other hand were really nice
We left, paying around £80 and didn't have / pay for our mains. Wouldn't return, overall poor / slow service, the main reason...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of choosing the Albion for my daughters 30th Birthday,I am so pleased I did.Victor was amazing from the first moment I contacted them to book the table, originally there was 10 but on the evening the group had been reduced to 7 and yet Victor was more than happy to accommodate us.A deposit was originally taken £5 per head which was refunded on the night and meal orders were taken in advance as to not disappoint and I am so pleased this was suggested to me as from the moment we arrived I instantly knew I had chosen the right venue, the staff were amazing and all to willing to help, nothing was too much trouble. When the food began to arrive on our table the smell was mouth watering and the portion sizes were fantastic. My sister and niece are vegetarian and this usually proves very difficult to accommodate apart from the usual veggie burger but we were so impressed, they both said they have never been to a restaurant and left feeling full with so much choice we will definitely be coming back here. It was less than £30 per person and this included our drinks,if you have never been I fully recommend but be advised call and speak to Victor and your evening will...
