Cinco's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Borough of Wyre

Really strange experience when my husband and little sister went here, nobody was in the restauraunt and the waitress possibly owner seemed really off , asked if we could sit by the window as it was empty and very dark lit and she replied "its dirty but you can" whilst rolling her eyes and gave me a dirty look, she didn't clean the table and just brought us menus to which was dirty,tatty and scribbled on , we decided we was going to stay despite the attitude and weird vibe as the reviews seemed good and it was getting late. When we went to order she firstly was going to take our drink order and I asked for a corona to which she said "have You got ID" (which ofcourse theres no problem with) I replied 'no' and was taken aback as I'm almost 30 and she looked at me and said 'not my problem' repeatedly with a sloppy approach. We then took another look at the menu and she just walked off mid order. We decided to get up and leave as throughout our time there the experience was awful and her attitude was the worst we have ever experienced in any establishment. She was rude,and doesn't know how to approach people. Its difficult to put into words how it was but we will not reccomend or return here.it was a scruffy looking establishment and so we can only think that she is the way she is due to embarrassment.never have we been treat that way. When we left she came out after us and then said to another establishment "if they come in don't serve them" which is very odd and poor form really as we was respectful throughout.

We found this very strange and she treated us like utter rubbish and with dis-respect. Appauling also how she could act that way since we was her only customers and we had my young sister with us.

We usually have pleasant experiences when we go out for food and never come across such behaviour.

Me and my friend visited Cincos tonight at 7pm, restaurant wasn’t overly busy. Drinks order was taken straight away then we ordered food, we shared the sharing nachos to start and chicken tacos for main.

After half an hour, the waitress came over and apologised, she said she’s put order on the wrong table and asked us to reconfirm our order, which is fine, mistakes happen and we laughed it off.

Half an hour passed and the waiter came over with our nachos and said ‘the chefs put pulled pork on the nachos, is that ok?’ No it’s not ok, thats not what we ordered! (We’d ordered plain). Off he went and came back 20 mins later with our nachos with cheese sauce (we would have expected proper cheese), all the toppings but the smallest bit of salsa so we asked for more.

We finished the nachos then waited a further 15 mins for our tacos to come which were ‘ok.’

We asked for the bill, I was paying cash. (I’d normally leave a tip as a rule but it wasn’t worthy of one due to mistakes, slow service and wrong food order). The bill was £41.50, I gave £50 cash and patiently waited for the change. My friend saw her get the change out of the till, reach up above the bar and put it in the tip jar!!! Any normal person would have brought the change back to the table and if I was going to leave a tip, I’d have left it on the table, but to automatically assume she could just keep the change? Speechless. I didn’t say anything because it would have just been embarrassing for everyone so we just left. We won’t...

Restaurant Review - October 16, 2024

During our holiday from Glasgow, we stumbled upon this charming little Mexican spot, and what an incredible find it was! The atmosphere instantly transported us to the vibrant streets of Mexico. With its cosy and welcoming decor, it felt like we were dining al fresco, even though we were inside.

The food was absolutely top-notch. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavors were authentic and bold. Portion sizes were perfect—not too much, not too little—and every bite was packed with deliciousness. We especially loved the halloumi fries, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the fajitas, which were bursting with flavor.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re in the area, it’s a must-visit.
