Thatched House — Restaurant in Borough of Wyre

Was offered best seats in house to watch Blackpool promotion game by Neil Swift (landlord) without having booked prior. Exceptional staff and thoroughly enjoyed afternoon with my son. Despite restrictions, this pub showed that things are getting back to normal. Highly recommended and fantastic landlord. I live mostly in London & there is not the same atmosphere in the Capital at the pubs I frequent. The moment I walk through the door and I am shown to my seat by friendly staff, 'my usual' is on it's way, with much reduced price than London. The best referee in a football game is not noticed but always there, the same for the staff in this establishment, the moment you finish your drink, they appear. Great local community pub, and I mean PUB, not a food bar, music bar but a traditional English pub where all types, solicitors, managers, gardner's, painters decorators whatever your trade all meet chat joke and drink. Great atmosphere where your chatting to the friendly landlord one minute and a happy joking glass collector the next. To many of our pubs have changed for the worse the Thatch hasn't been the same center of the community social gathering place for over 35 years. Added bonus some pretty chicks...

What a brilliant local the thatched house is. I've been coming in here for years, as has my mother and now and again other friends and family, and none of us has ever had any issues with the people that go here, and certainly not with the staff. There's always a friendly atmosphere here and the staff go above and beyond all the time, they are always friendly and make you feel welcome.
