Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Borough of Wyre

Called in at 3:45 after work. There appeared to be only two young girls serving, neither of whom knew what they were doing. A large queue soon developed. One young lady was trying to make iced drinks following directions from the other. Surely if they were trainees some one more experienced should have been supervising? I couldn't believe it when one of them actually whistled at the customer she was serving to get their attention!! Customer service?? Having waited 20 mins (yes, really!!) to be served, we had to send back the flat white coffee my friend had ordered as it was undrinkable. A large area of seating had already been closed off, with seats stacked up, at 4pm despite the cafe being busy. If this had been my first ever visit to Costa I wouldn't be going back! What a...

The only thing that was nice about the place was the seating. We spent almost £8 on 2 drinks. They weren't even to the tops of the cups. I only noticed this once we'd sat down (take away cups) otherwise I'd have told them to fill them. You're paying top money so you expect at least a full cup and to top it off it just tasted like warm milk not hot chocolate. We love going to the Blackpool Costa but this Fleetwood one was lacking. It was also only luke warm, the marshmallows tasted stale. There was only 1 member of staff who actually was warm and friendly the others looked like they couldn't be bothered to be there. First things first - I do enjoy my coffee. With that in mind you can have a good cup or an average cup based on who is serving you. I have found that the majority of the staff in the Fleetwood Freeport branch are quite friendly and happy to help you make a choice. There is a good selection of coffee and cakes, etc... to go with it as you'd expect from a large chain. If there are any down points, it can get quite busy and often there aren't enough baristas there and there can be quite a wait.
