Lovely Thai food, I have been here twice and the first time I came the service was good and the food was very high quality. I really loved the steamed seabass dish, and the chicken Tom Yum soup was also good. The fish cakes were alright, a bit mushy and bland in taste but not bad.
However, the second time I came with a bunch of colleagues, there was a blonde waitress (called Tracy apparently) who was horrible. She cursed us, was the rudest of rudest I had ever encountered so much so that I we had to directly call the manager. It was like watching a TV show at how rude a waitress could be, bad service on steroids. When I asked for the bill, she replied "are you done staring you spoilt brats" in the presence of the manager, which was a real shock to us as customers. My friend politely asked whether we were getting our starters together with the main course, she said that we are "at the back of the queue because we took blimmin' two hours to order". Also, she had these rants behind the counter about one of my friends who was late due to getting caught up at work, then threatened to take one of the tables away if she did not come in the next five minutes. Bad language, slamming dishes, snapping whenever we ordered anything, ranting behind the counter and countering everything with a rude sarcastic remark... it was like something you would only see on TV, so that fact that this was happening in real life just bewildered me and my friends.
One of my Thai friends was a regular and knew the manager who was very nice. She apologised to us a lot and removed the service charge (as we were a group of twelve). It was a real pity as the food was so good but we were bombarded by TV Drama style rudeness of this Tracy that it made one of my friends upset and left me shocked to the point that I was...
Read moreBooked a table for 2 @ 7:30 online for valentines night. Called by half an hour in advance to check everything was ok and running on time , we were informed yes no problem. On returning at the correct time the downstairs was full with a crowd of customers waiting at the booking area. It was obvious they were overbooked , very little staff and looked chaotic. We eventually got sat upstairs when I asked how long it might take to order and then receive food.. all I repeatedly got was... we are very very busy. It was clear hardly anyone was eating , clearly they do not have a full up / stop facility on their booking system , on top of this they were massively understaffed. We decided to leave as we felt it would take far too long to wait. Chaotic , under staffed & poorly managed. We have eaten here several times and the food has always been amazing therefore we will definitely eat here again but will visit at quieter times and definitely not using the online booking system. Please change your booking system and help the staff out by employing...
Read moreFantastic !!! , my first time in the Mews so a very pleasant surprise.
