I recently had the misfortune of visiting a café that left me utterly disappointed and dissatisfied. The overall experience was marred by abysmal service and beverages that were nothing short of a disaster. Allow me to elaborate on my unfortunate encounter with this establishment.

First and foremost, the service at this café was atrocious. The staff seemed disinterested, untrained, and lacked basic customer service skills. It took an eternity for them to acknowledge my presence, and when they finally did, they greeted me with an apathetic attitude that made me question whether they actually wanted my business. Throughout my visit, they were inattentive, constantly chatting amongst themselves, and neglecting the needs of customers.

Now, let's discuss the main reason people visit a café—the beverages. To put it bluntly, the cappuccino and espresso I ordered were simply undrinkable. The cappuccino had an unpleasant, burnt taste that indicated a complete lack of understanding when it comes to coffee preparation. The foam on top was lumpy and lacked the velvety texture one expects from a well-made cappuccino. It was a far cry from the rich, creamy delight I had hoped for. As for the espresso, it was excessively bitter and lacked any complexity or depth of flavor. It was clear that the baristas lacked the skill and expertise to extract the best from the coffee beans they were using.

To add insult to injury, the café itself was unkempt and unclean. The tables were sticky, the floor was littered with crumbs, and the overall atmosphere was far from welcoming. It was evident that the establishment did not prioritize cleanliness or upkeep, which further detracted from the already dismal experience.

It's disheartening to encounter such a lack of passion and care in a place that should be a haven for coffee lovers. As a customer, I expected a warm ambiance, friendly service, and beverages that were expertly crafted. Unfortunately, this café failed on all fronts.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against visiting this café if you value good service and quality beverages. The apathetic staff, abysmal cappuccino, and bitter espresso are a recipe for disappointment. Save yourself the frustration and seek out a different establishment that truly understands the art of coffee-making and the importance of customer...

Came here a few weeks ago, ordered a vanilla latte and a cappuccino. Coffees were lovely however I had to take these outside & was not offered any help or assistance. I’m a capable guy and managed but to open a door and balance 2 tall coffees on a large circular tray at the same time was difficult. There was plenty of staff and it wasn’t very busy.. after that we sat on our table & decided to move into the sun.

The new table we moved to was unbalanced and as we put our coffees down the table tipped and my latte went all over the show. I’d only had a few sips and was enjoying this, anyway we were not offered any replacement or alternatives and not offered say another latte at half price?

It’s just poor customer service in my opinion and the young male waiter suggest we move table instead of offering any other alternatives… fantastic advice. Maybe I should’ve offered my advice that they place tables correctly so they’re not uneven and mistakes like this do not happen in the future?

I understand the business doesn’t have to offer another coffee or do any half price deal but there was an opportunity there to get repeat custom as the coffee was actually really nice.

We came through from Blackpool for the day last week and went into the coffee bar for lunch. The order came to £24. I handed over a £20 note which the woman behind the counter said she couldn't accept as there was no bar code on it. It was very embarrassing as there was a queue behind me. Turned out she didn't have it far enough in the machine. No apology nothing. Her attitude was horrible. Ordered toasties which came wrong. The staff blamed me for the mistake and it was really upsetting. I know what I ordered. The tea was left all this time and when I asked for a fresh pot with the meal they refused. The coffee bar looks a lovely place to have a meal in but it left me feeling sick. The staff and their attitude let's this place down badly. If the manager is reading this either give them staff training on how to treat customers or sack them. Cleveleys is a lovely town with lots of nice tearooms unfortunately we picked the wrong one. I would advice anyone to think twice about...
