This red-eyed stone giant, one of the sculptures on the Mythic Coast Art Trail, is also the hardest one to find. It certainly took me a while to locate it (it's a little way out on the beach, opposite the Vue Cinema). The Sea Ogre is completely submerged at high tide, and when viewed from the prom, it's hard to distinguish from the rocky groyne that shelters it, but up close it's unmistakable! Covered with green algae when I saw it, this artwork is actually a very noticeable white when it's been cleaned. A big favourite with children, and a great photo opportunity!

Beautiful sculpture that I always love seeing. Just something really obscure and different about it. Very photogenic and his 'skin' always changes with the seasons, weather and obviously the tide. Very unique.

Fascinating cloud formation. What looks like sunset was 2pm! The promenade is a great place for walking . Bracing wind included. The Sea Ogre was just emerging.
