Book in advance, this place is busy and i can see why. Due to covid there are restrictions, the tables and chairs are all cleaned after the last booking but you are seated in a waiting area with drinks, temperature is taken and hand gel is available for customers to sanitise hands. Staff then take you to your table where you order you starters, and mains, Staff are very friendly italians, good banter too. The food was tasty and freshly made from starters to desserts. Arrived prompt and hot. There wasn't a wait in ordering drinks on arrival or throughout the meal. The place is clean, staff look clean and smart, toilets are clean and fully stocked, They provide high chairs for families with kids. Lovely idea with the generous helping of free shots at the end of the evening. Lovely Italian restaurant. For a starter, we got the bruschetta which was easily the best I've had in a long time, if not ever. This was followed by a garlic bread with real garlic (not garlic salt) that was quite flavorful but not encrusted with salt like so many are. I got the ravioli in gorgonzola sauce on the recommendation of the waiter and it was everything I'd hoped for with tender little pillows of spinach and ricotta ensconced in waves of gorgonzola sauce. My husband had the bolognaise and equally enjoyed his meal. We went last night as a group of 4, service was OK and starters were good. When the mains came out we were very disappointed, one of us ordered the lasagna and it was just a bowl of mush, pasta was way overcooked and there was barely any meat in it, another ordered the spaghetti bolognaise, this was very dry with little sauce and again barely any meat. Two of us ordered the fillet steak and asked for it cooked medium, it was way overdone, was very dry and not succulent at all. Not sure whether this is actually an authentic Italian restaurant, the bar staff and waitress were definitely not Italian.
