Raj Palace Restaurant — Restaurant in Boston

Menu states Sunday-Wednesday buffet but on a Tuesday I was told it wasn't available yet after 10 mins the server changed his mind and said he would offer it.

We were 1 of only 2 tables that were in the restaurant yet after 1hr40 we still hadn't received our food, offered drink refills or apologised about the delay.

Due to the amount of time we waited we gave up and approached the bar to settle what we had paid for. The two members of staff looked up at us and turned their backs and continued what they were doing sorting out the takeaway orders.

When I explained that I don't want to wait any longer I was told that my food had been ready for over 10 minutes. I apologised and said we didn't want to eat food that has been sat under a heat lamp for over 10 minutes. I said I would pay for what I had but I am not going to keep waiting around. The server stated "You are rude!"

I apologised but I wasn't going to wait any longer because at this point I had been there for nearly 2 hours. The server told me that we should have told them that I was in a rush and it was my fault that it wasn't out quicker.

The whole time we were waiting there were numerous takeaway orders that were being pumped out of the restaurant. If you want a nice meal out in a restaurant I suggest you don't...

We came and had our first visit to the Raj Palace last week, all I can say is WOW...

Having worked in the spice industry for 20 years, I can appreciate the complexity of merging spices together to create a perfect blend of heat, floral notes and depth of flavour - these guys know how to do this extremely well....

We had a mixture of main dishes, korma, jalfrezi and madras in both meat and veggie versions, accompanied by saag paneer, mushroom rice and naan breads....

All of the curry dishes were well balanced, with the perfect level of heat for dish, veggies were well cooked, chicken was very tender and succulent and the curry spice flavours were well balanced to give fantastic depth...

All this along with amazing service.... the front of house team were well experienced and couldn’t do enough to provide a wonderful experience...

Highly recommended - if you like a great selection of favourites and some amazing chef specials, you have to visit this place, I’m certainly looking forwards to my next visit....

Told a price for delivery. But turned up with food asking for nearly £10 more than quoted, as a mistake was made when they told us the price. Delivery driver had no change so ended up overpaying for our food. Waited nearly 2 hours and the food was barley warm. When I rang and questioned the price. I got told all the prices are different online compared to the menu etc. No apology, and just plain rude. Didn't care in the slightest that it was their mistake. I don't think the receptionist has a clue what she is doing either. Avoid this place!!!! Tbh must happen a lot as the delivery driver said "in his opinion he wouldn't order from there". Don't...
