Some of my friends, Booked Afternoon Tea for two at the new Bingley Tearooms in the precinct.. One of them wanted Gluten Free Sandwich's and Decaf tea. She received Sandwich's that looked like they were on Normal Bread. The Decaf Tea was served in a Single Mug. Not as you would expect in a Teapot for one with extra hot water. The excuse given, Was the Teapots are for two people. So the other person also got a Mug of normal Tea. All the Sandwiches and cakes were on the same cake stand. So the other person was expected to eat the supposed Gluten Free Sandwich's and cakes. Due to the time it had taken to be served she decided to accept the platter but was not happy about it. She went up to the counter to ask for a bit more, as the coffee was basically still black, but was told it would cost an extra 30p. Now, I know it’s only 30p, but considering we had just spent nearly £35 on lunch, a little extra milk should be included, coffee should be served to taste.
Then our sandwiches arrived. My chicken mayo was good, but my mum had ordered a steak Canadian with fried onions for £11, so her expectations were high. Unfortunately, it turned out to be cheap sliced beef warmed up with microwaved onions.

Currently, i’m on maternity leave so it’s my sanctuary when my baby girl is asleep.. it’s a meeting place for me and my friends, especially other mums as it’s pram and child friendly. The menu is fabulous, particular shout out to the breakfasts and the cakes! The staff are all lovely and it’s a great asset to the local community.
