Caribbean Cuisine Pimento — Restaurant in Bradford

With being vegan for a while now, we have really struggled with getting a decent vegan takeaway that didn't seem like an afterthought and thrown on the menu.

I visited Pimento probably a few years back and only just remembered it recently so I decided to pop in and see if he did anything vegan, or something that he can just not put milk or eggs in.

Luck was in because he whipped up one of his Jamaican vegetables curry with rice and peas, all fresh and it was awesome. Honestly, it was really really really nice. So much so that I took a few menus KNOWING my friends would want to try it and would also order from there.

Hit this place up if you are looking for decent food for everyone, but if you are vegan then 100% hit this up as it is really hard to get a good vegan takeaway around here and this was a really really tasty curry!! Also, the serving sizes are HUGGGEEE.

Can't wait to order it again, probably treat the other half tomorrow it was...

5th February 2022 15:10 pm.... just drove from Batley especially to buy food from here. Didn't ring our order through because previous attempts showed calls weren't always answered due to being busy. However we arrived and the shop is closed! We have family coming for a meal and thought we'd treat them to caribbean food. Not impressed. Owner can you please update your business hours on your website. Thank you. Not taking any stars off my first review because the food here is amazing.

Incredibleee food, had the jerk chicken first time and fried chicken second time. Chicken is so tender and flavoursome, the fried was crispy but not too greasy - seriously perfect! Jerk sauce is beautiful with a nice spice level. The guy working was lovely too and even gave me a couple of free dumplings which were 10/10!!

• edit * I’ve knocked a star off cause twice this week gone to get a too good to go bag, arrived bang on collection time and both times it’s been closed!! I thought first time maybe there was an emergency but 2 times to list and be closed is strange?? Tried to ring and no response, really hope it’s not...
