Icestone desserts — Restaurant in Bradford

Last night we went and the guy that seated us doesn’t know the meaning of customer service . We had a couple before us . He was giving them attitude and then comes to us asking how many and it’s the way he says it like we’re inconvenience to him. When we went to order his face and expession was like he’d rather be somewhere else. Like smile s little . I ordered and he doesn’t bring the strawberries and when I asked he started raising his voice saying it’s extra 50p cos you didn’t ask for it at the start. When I clearly did and when I said this he huffed and said I didn’t hear it and then just stares at my face. What’s with the attitude . Just accept your fault and let’s move on why are you arguing with me . I just said forget it why let him ruin my night . The couple on the next table also said he’s had an issue with his attitude with them as well.Then he disappeared in to back and sent another guy out with the strawberries and then we also hadn’t received our milk for the tea and we asked this new server and with any issues or difficulties he went and brought it. Ice stone you seriously need to give training to your staff on how to behaviour . I don’t normally come to ice stones but after this I won’t be coming again to the...

Don't recommend coming here. Service - abysmal, food - cold, timing - terrible. COVID precautions....ZERO. ✖️

No attempt at social distancing no masks (I know it's not a requirement but most places are trying they are not)

Ordered my food at the till to a lady who didn't even seem very interested. Ordered a waffle, crepe and cookie dough. Asked for bananas instead of strawberry's on the cookie dough as the young one doesn't like strawberry's. (Which it said on the receipt.)

Ordered came to table both the waffle and crepe were cold and the cookie dough came with the starwberry's :/. Asked the waitress to sort it out and showered her my receipt which says banana instead of strawberry's. Then she took it back and brought the same cookie dough back with banana ice cream instead.....

Waitress took it back yet again (whilst rolling her eyes) and another waiter came to apologize very nicely and said we are making a fresh one for you. 👍 (Need to find more staff like this guy as he seemed to care.)

Only problem is by the time the cookie dough came we finished our desserts (as ours were already cold) so the little one was just waiting about.

Wouldn't recommend coming here just...

Icestone Gelato on Leeds Road used to be my favourite desert place. The quality of the food was excellent and a lot of love and care obviously went into it.

But since they moved across the road, it seems all style over substance. Yes the seating and entrance at the old place needed a refurb, whilst the new place is sparkly, but who needs a new 40 page menu? That menu is less practical than the old one, with no more on it than before. In fact, the best item on the menu, the ISG Creation, has disappeared. The old carpark was tight, but now carparking is on the road amongst the building sites at the back.

Ultimately, the food isn't as good. It's OK. Average. Passable. The chocolate bar milkshakes are good. But the food used to be great. The focus has moved to a glitzy building and menu photography instead of the great food it had a reputation for.
