OK So this place is new...it is next to Nandos (of which I am a fan) so not the number 1 choice for me in the area. That said, Nandos was heaving and we have historically liked Five guys so we gave it a go. We got served quick (although they forgot to give us our cups for drinks) and we found a table to have those drinks at whilst we waited for our order. The order took ages. There were only probably 4 people in front of us at the "collect your food" bit, but it took in the region of 15 minutes. When they gave us our food, we took it back to the table and noticed that the order was wrong. So we took it back. Waited another 5 mins then our actual order came out. Took it to the table and it was missing a part....not wrong, just missing some. We went back, picked up the part that was missing (they hadn't realised it should have been two bags) and brought it back to eat. During this time we had tried to get some ketchup and mayo - ketchup fine but the Mayo was out. It took about 10 mins for them to change that and refill it. Once all of that was done and dusted, we started to eat. The food is good. It is what saved this from being two stars. The fries are cooked well (and there are lots of them), the burgers are juicy, tasty, big and definitely filled us up! Milkshake was also pretty good. Would I go back? Possibly - if Nandos next door is full then yeah we would consider it but bear in mind there was a long wait and they messed the order up multiple times. There was one older dude (50 ish) sorting the food out and about 20 x 18-20 year olds....I get the feeling his job was purely there to help wrangle those 18-20 year olds! I am sure they will get slicker with time so hopefully this goes 4 or 5 star next time. 4 people, we...
Read moreThe best commercially available burgers, the strawberry malted milkshake and the cajun fries. The openness of the preparation area is another key factor, you can watch your meal being created. Marked down on price because a burger drink and shared large fries cost £30. You do buy quality but it is still slightly over priced. The restaurant is situated between the car parks on the A120 side of Freeport, ramp and step access is available from the swimming pool carpark and flat access from the other carpark. Seating is mostly fixed booths with some central chairs, there is also a small seating area outside to the front. There is just one toilet cubicle which is right at the back so although we didn't experience a queue there could potentially be one and that queue would have to form past the booths where people are eating their food. Five stars marked down for being slightly over priced and lack of...
Read moreSo we arrived to order 2 milkshakes, the place had loads of staff all standing around not really busy. For some reason dispite all the staff standing around, we ended up waiting 20 minutes for a simple milkshake! The guy who eventually came over to make them slowly took his time putting his gloves on, proceeded to then MAKE HIMSELF a milkshake first, stashed it into the freezer and continued making shakes. To make it even worse, he then made the milkshakes for an order 5 people after us and asked whether it was my order.. he then proceeded to say "oh sorry" after I told him how long I've been waiting and then took his time to make our 2. How can people in this place be so oblivious? This example of five guys is rubbish compared to the ones in London, the service is just on a...
