Phoenix Arizona — Restaurant in Braintree

I’ve eaten here three times now with my family. Food is really nice, portions are big, and not just a load of chips.

So nice to have an independent restaurant owned by someone who’s clearly as much about the food as the atmosphere and Americana culture. The place has a nice vibe.

Spoke to the owner / chef about the dishes as I wanted to try something new. He talked me through the options on the beef brisket which was excellent.

Friendly vibe, good family atmosphere. Some great American country rock music mixed into the playlists and pleasant waiting staff.

Unfortunately one star ⭐️ is what I’m going to give for this restaurant, reason being when we was sitting down we saw the chef plating food that was brought from Sainsbury’s, we brought the apparent nachos with the cheese sauce that you as a restaurant (waitress) called chips, no you served us nachos from Sainsbury’s!! And then charged £6!!! Also chose the Frankfurter 🌭 with chips, the roll was very stale and with an odd taste. The Mac & cheese 🧀 taste very like the cheap cheap Mac &cheese you buy from Tesco in the tin 🤢. We’ve been meaning to visit here for some time but keep forgetting. Now I wish we’d been coming for years.

The food is spot on with some American treats seen at only the best Route 66 diners.

The service was great and our server was excellent being very quick with refills and taking our empty plates etc.

The theming is very cool with lots of nods to The Mother Road.

We had many things including the po-boy, bourbon pulled pork burger, chicken and waffles, hush puppies, Philly cheese steak and others. Everything was amazing with the highlight being the pulled pork burger.

I had to try their milkshake and it was lovely.
