Torsbeanie — Restaurant in Braintree

If you’re travelling, I highly recommend Torsbeanie as a stop-off, and not only for the convenience & facilities.

We came here because we saw the great reviews, then to our surprise arrived at a cafe attached to a Tesco! But don’t let that fool you, this cafe is something special.

The staff are kind, welcoming and attentive, and treat you like a regular even if you’ve never been before. And the food is fresh, tasty, and home made from scratch at excellent prices.

I highly recommend the quiche, both my partner and I really enjoyed it. And the biscoff & white chocolate cheesecake is truly a piece of heaven!

I never got to try it (as I was full from the generous portions I received!), but the scotch eggs were the most enormous things I’ve ever seen! And our friend’s medium fry-up looked delicious too.

Torbeanie catered for our wedding and were absolutely brilliant from start to finish! Nothing was too much trouble for Beanie in regards to the prep and run-up to our big day. It was reassuring to know we were dealing with just genuinely nice people who had our best interests at heart. We might have had 99 other problems but the catering weren't one!

As for the day itself, the guys set up discreetly and went about doing what they do best - rustling up great food! All our guests were really complimentary about the burgers and loaded fries, wraps, chicken stacks etc. We wanted an informal wedding day based around what we love - our friends, family and food! We nailed it!

Thanks so much for being great and for the delicious food. Anybody thinking of hiring Torsbeanie for an event don't mull it over, just get them booked up!!

Have been to this cafe many of times and have always enjoyed the food however when I went today i got charged £0.50p more because I chose to have a cold drink with my meal this is not OK because the tea or coffee that comes with the breakfast is more expensive at £1.80 than the cold drinks at £1.60 if anything I should have been charged £0.20p less not £0.50p more, it seemed like this rule had been made up on the spot as I have been many times to this cafe and ordered the same breakfast and have never been charged extra before.
