Shake express — Restaurant in Braintree

Visiting from Basildon and what a lovely surprise. This independent small business is offering stunning milkshakes, Iced teas (boba too) and also hot drinks and HOT desserts at extremely reasonable prices. There is limited seating at this cozy shop too! Aside from the freshly blended, REAL ice cream shakes with whatever chocolate, candy, fruit or other ingredient you desire, the proprietor bakes stunning HUGE stuffed cookies. They are full of quality chocolate, decorations and - above all - they taste amazing. The cookies are also incredibly filling - my daughter and I came away stuffed but took some for gifts. What an amazing little shop. Braintree is lucky to have such a fabulous independent shop. Please do stop by and support this small business. It doesn't surprise me at the time of writing this that Shake Express has 5 stars. It is well deserved.

The independent, family fun business is tucked neatly towards the end of the High Street. It serves almost an unthinkable amount of shakes as well as other treats. The prices are fair, and the servings are generous. I remember ordering a large and struggling to finish it.

I've been coming here since I first spotted them (had they just opened?) in 2009, and since it was taken over in 2011. I've long since moved away from Braintree but I come back every couple of months and, without fail, get myself a large Oreo milkshake.
