Where to start? The room was more like a closet with no wardrobe, hangers or chair? The TV remote was broken and the TV itself was faulty with the sound disappearing after 10 minutes. The shower was literally a dribble. The large light in the shower room has no cover so the wires etc are exposed. The toilet paper dispenser was broken and I had to take it apart to get the toilet roll out. The bed had no headboard but has a radiator behind it instead. There was a leak at some point in the roof which broke through the ceiling which has never been sealed or re-done. The carpet was filthy because they haven’t replaced them since the leak. The windows are single glazed in-spite of being next to a (fairly) busy road… you can hear everything! I could also hear heavy dripping coming from the ceiling… that leak will show itself soon.

The room does not have any standard at all. Bathroom.door broken, no power for the shower wall pInt8ng popped out, curtains so old and not fitted properly, inside window spiders webs are all over the place. The bed is wobbly, and the marltress is so soft you feel you lying on the fram of the bed. The carpet floor seems so old and it's so dirty and horrible. There is a drain pipe pass through the room. There are 2 side cabinets on the corner, not beside the bed, and already in use for the cattle and tea jar. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Check in: ||We had booked three rooms for our one night stay as we were having a memorial at the pub that day. We we're told that our room was available from 12:30, we were not given the keys to the final room until 14:30. Not very helpful when the memorial started at 15:00. ||The room: ||Our room was horrible. Considering we had waited 2 hours for our room we had expected that it would at least be clean! However, the bins had not been emptied, the shower had hairs in, the shower curtain was yellow and the sink was dirty. We think that the only thing that had been changed was the bed sheets (we hope they had been anyway!). The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the old style windows did not close properly. We are not fussy, as long as a room is clean we are generally happy, however this hotel did not even meet that expectation. ||The memorial: ||The food for the memorial were standard picky bits which were nice.||The evening: ||The pub had a live singer for the Saturday night, the singer was very talented so we had a great night. However we also had older relatives with us who were unable to sleep due to the inadequate sound proofing to the bar. ||Breakfast: ||When we checked into our rooms we were given breakfast sheets so we could inform the kitchen what we wanted. However, when we came down to breakfast we were informed there was only enough bacon for two of our party because it had not been defrosted! We were shocked to say the least. As for the rest of the breakfast, the mushrooms were rubbery, the tomatoes were not cooked, the beans were cold and the sausages were inedible. ||The staff: ||Although the staff were nice, it seemed as if they majorly lacked direction and management. For many of the staff it felt as if it was their first...
