Silver Plate Cafe — Restaurant in Breckland District

I went to Dereham today with the intention of having lunch at Silver Plate Cafe with a friend as it had been recommended to me. I had literally just opened the door when we were approached by a female member of staff who told us that my small dog was not allowed to enter. I immediately explained that my dog is an Assistance Dog. I was then asked for proof by the same member of staff to which I replied that yes, ofcourse I have but that it is not a legal requirement for any member of an establishment to insist of proof. She then retorted that the owners are Muslim and don't like dog's. Obviously this was said in front of all diners that were present. I suggest that the owners and all staff familiarise themselves with the English Laws regarding Support Dog's being accepted in this country. Highly unprofessional on many levels and I/We will certainly not be recommending this...

My partner and his dad and his children went here today for lunch as it's fathers day.... They had an absolute disgrace of a visit at this cafe. After my partner paid a comment was made that in future they are not welcome as his dad apparently smelt. While they sat there and ate the food they paid for a female worker from the cafe persisted to walk around the table they where sat at EATING. Continuously spraying air freshener and making snid remarks. I think this is absolutely disgusting behaviour frome someone who works within the customer service and food sector and completely dam right disrespectful. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone at all nor would I ever recommend eating here because if they are willing to spray air freshener without a care for the health of there customer let alone were people are...

The staff were very friendly and helpful but unfortunately they served my 5year old toast that was mouldy bread, they did however replace it. I've revisited today and wanted so badly for it 2 be better, the waitress pretty much chucked my coffee at me and my friends after she originally bought us the wrong order, customer service was dreadful, like we were an inconvenience for daring to come In. Food was horrid... I've had to change my original rating to...
