I have not been into Greggs East Dereham since the re-fit. Even so I was expecting things like presentation to be the same. It was enjoyable before so why should it be any different now. I first got an inkling that things had changed when my order of 2 sausage rolls were presented to me on a tray on top of a serviette!!! It being a small tray I knew that teapots would not be forth coming. So I was not surprised when I received 2 mugs of hot water containing a tea bag in each. Then to add insult to injury I found out just how much extra I had to pay to 'eat in'. Extortionate in my reckoning. Also,as opposed to milk cartons, a sad and lonely milk jug had to suffice. Decent cutlery and sauces have also been assigned to the past. I believe the rolls cost £1 to take out and I'm reliably informed by my friend that we were sitting near a counter where you could get 4 rolls in a pack very cheaply. Her daughter buys them. Needless to say I wont be returning. I wonder how many other customers are now...
Read moreWent in after they been closed for refit. Looks a little different. But having used greens for many years. Very disappointed that they offer certain offers to o2 customers on a Saturday to get the message saying ran out of breakfast rolls, to walk in and see the gentleman next to me get served one. I feel that as the offer has been seen on my phone. They could have stood by the offer. The young lady next to the lady serving me started talking about I should get there earlier if I want one next time. Very condescending in her manner of speaking. Glad the refit out the back of she store is lovely ( this is what they stood there talking about ) and more important than their...
Read moreSigns up on the counter and behind it advertise 'Soup of the Day'. "I'll have the soup of the day plea-" "Sold Out" is what I'm told. I would have thought a huge chain like Greggs would know how to open another can of soup after the old ones empty, alas no, I would also have thought that you shouldn't be calling it 'Soup of the Day' if you have no intention of serving it ALL DAY, maybe you could call it, 'Soup of the Morning' or 'Soup of the first fifty customers then no more'? Whatever the reason, perhaps you should consider removing the signs when you no longer have...
