Me and my family decided to return to the restaurant after a lovely experience around 8 years ago, unfortunately this experience was horrific! Firstly the price has nearly doubled! Which was a bit of a shock but everything has gone up. So my partner and eldest child ordered from the menu and myself and other 3 daughters off the buffet menu then the lady in charge told my wife she can not eat from our buffet menu( fine she didn’t want to) then told her staff to tell us which was quite rude. Then the food arrived after an hour and several pings of a microwave! When it arrived it was awful the prawn toast smelled really bad fishy and everything was crusty and seemed old warmed food at that point we decided to pay for our drinks and starters. At that point she was rude and shouty then when i received the bill She tried charging £73 for drinks and 4 ribs, 4 tiny frozen spring rolls 4 pieces of smelly prawn toast and some crusty chicken beef (couldn’t really tell what meat it was) satay. I told her I’m not prepared to pay that for the quality of food, so gave her £60 (that was far too much) and proceed to leave as she started getting rude and shouting at that point she refused to let me and my family leave pushing and holding my children after I told not to touch any of us then blocking the doorway while my youngest is crying grabbing her arm. I have never had such a horrible experience or seen such shocking behaviour also seen her pushing her young staff. She threatened to call I told her to as she was the only one committing a criminal offence and am now going to the police myself. Absolutely mental behaviour to think you can grab a 5 year olds arm and push and keep people in the restaurant at ransom!!! Wow NEVER NEVER eat here!! Read moreI do not give 1 star reviews lightly! With that said if I was able to give 0 stars then I would not hesitate, this restruant is horrendous. It took 1 hour 15 mins to get our starters, which were sent back as they were terrible, pink chicken, frozen centres on the spring rolls, spare ribs were dry and 2 ribs were just bone and no meat. Our main order was taken after 1 hour 50 mins of being there, only to then be told there would be a delay. It was clear they were prioritising takeaway orders as they were flying out the door. The waitresses were all very young and had no idea at all, they were useless at best. One of them threw 2 bowls on our table and didn't say a word before she walked off. After all this we decided after 2 hours and only 1 edible starter, that this place is not for us! We approached the owner to complain about our experience, she was not interested and all she wanted us to do was pay! She tried to charge us for a full buffet menu when all we had was one edible starter, she argued and argued with us stating that 'we don't understand because of covid' she was implying that we should expect long wait times because of Covid! What a joke. We were not the only people complaining that night, the whole atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable. However, booked a table as all you can eat, checked prices over the phone.....when we got the table, menus were placed in the middle and some laminated A4 sheets were underneath. Booked from the menu....did wonder why they had pricing next to dishes but assumed that because we had booked as all you can eat, this was fine. Food and service was lovely but when the bill came, everything was individually priced so we asked why this was when we booked all you can eat. Lady came out and appeared quite upset when we tried to explain how we had not noticed the laminated sheets were for all you can eat menu and wasnt explained this. We were very calm and just wanted to point out that in future, it would be better if this was explained to customer's, especially if they have booked all you can eat. The lady basically said we should have worked this out for ourselves and wouldn't even show any empathy or understanding, on this basis....we wont be going back. Shame, as really enjoyed food and service up to this point...and btw did pay...
