As far as cafe's go, you can't go far wrong with Swaffham Cafe. It's in the town centre, so lots of parking, it's got a lot of tables inside and out, and it serves all sorts of grub and it comes out pretty quickly. Can't ask for much more really We live local, so we probably go once a month or so during a weekend when we can't be bothered to cook breakfast and usually when we have guests - just because. The menu is pretty broad and painted with the usual strokes of egg, bacon, sausages, beans, hash browns, mushrooms etc. The food is what you'd expect, and it's not overpriced. That's what we go for - a nice greasy fry up and a cuppa tea. Standard fayre. I like that it's unpretentious, it's not trying to be something it's not. It gives me a community feeling, you can turn up in your pyjamas or onesie if you like, and no one would care. In summary, if you want a good ole' fashioned fat-boy breakfast (with chips if you're weird), or just a sausage, egg, bacon combo and a cuppa and you dont want to break the bank, get yourself down there and meet some...
Read moreSwaffham Cafe is a warm, homely environment where you can sit with just a coffee and have a chin wag with the locals or you can sit and eat all you possibly can as their menu caters to all, young and old, big or little eaters. Myself, I'm not a big eater and so I'll just get a milkshake and a bacon roll and thats fine. My other half will go all out with a lamb roast or a London special breakfast, with coffee of course. All prices are extremly reasonable and affordable. There's free wifi so you can get things done while you're waiting for, say, a taxi that happens to be just outside the Cafe doors! Perfect when you've missed your ride home and might be waiting a while. The staff are kind, polite, positive and always greet you with a warm smile, Ive been walking round Swaffham before and seen one of the waiters, i've said hello and they always turn round with a smile. Love...
Read moreThis is a great little, non-chain, no frills cafe in the centre of Swaffham with ample parking outside. The guys who run this place are friendly, service is prompt and prices are reasonable. The premises are clean and the food is your typical no fuss cafe food, no pretences, just good wholesome food with good portion sizes and options. Coffee not bad either. The only niggle I have is the baked beans are small and a bit cheap tasting, I wish they'd use Branston baked beans! Would make a big difference to the breakfast options!
I've been here lots of times and also had take out food - always good, will...
