The food was good. Lasagna, chips and salad. Tasted great for the price. Eggs royale were good. Salmon was fresh. Eggs were a little over cooked for my taste, the yolk wasn't completely runny. Server didn't get my tea order correct. I ordered Earl grey but I got green tea. The coffee was decent, tasted like instant coffee. Couldn't pay by card... Was lucky to have cash on me.

Konch Cafe is an absolute gem! Their traditional pie, mash and liquor is excellent and very authentic. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can really feel that it’s a super friendly, family-run business. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. From now on, this will definitely be my go to pie and mash shop. Highly recommend!

What an awesome find just off Brentwood High Street. Tables in the sun, awesome pie, mash , liqueur and liver and onions and mash which were truly topped off by a massive portion of awesome service. If you are passing then don't miss out. Prices were very reasonable also.

Really rude customer service from the older lady working there. I went there today, 14th December with my friend and our two babies and prams. My friend put her pram in the cupboard from the very nice two young ladies working there as her baby was sitting in a high chair. My baby was asleep so I had him in the pram and in one of the pathways, I mentioned to the girls I would move him if the tables near us become full for you to serve but at the time most tables were empty. Shortly after our food arrived an older lady came up to me and asked if there was a baby in there, gesturing to the pram to which I said yes and I would move if you get customers. She proceeded to say it’s a fire exit, (which there are two pathways to access the door), and if there was a fire she would be ‘the first one out’ gesturing towards my pram she would plough through it to exit. We suggested to move to the other side because our side had a Christmas tree behind so very little room but she said no no, eat your food. What a shocking statement to make to a mother that you would do that to her child to get out the door. Others customer heard and some looked at me in sympathy because it was a vile things to say. Our coffees never arrived thank goodness, so we ate and left. I felt unwelcomed with my baby and made to feel a nuisance. Not a nice experience and felt her eyes looking at me the whole time we ate. Don’t bother going if you have children or certainly not when the older...

We went after the lunchtime rush and they seated 5 of us by pushing 2 tables together, which was appreciated.

There were no pies available and many of the other items were also out.

We ordered teas. They were tasty- but came already with milk in so no preferences accounted for.

Crusty prawn sandwich was massive and quite tasty. Baked potatoes were very tasty but didn't come with the advertised side salad.

Overall a good place to eat cheaply with the family. Will be going back earlier in the day to try...

Travelled from Eastbourne to Brentwood for a job.Left at 5.30am arriving in Brentwood at 7.15am looking for a cafe that was open we stumbled across this little GEM. What a great cafe food was amazing and value for money. I travelled all over the country and have tried many cafes this is by far the best. Congratulations and keep up the hard work. Shame you never had any Brighton shirts hanging up.😂 If I'm back in the area will definitely be...
