Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Bristol

Another very! good Costa locally, Bristol north and north west. Most well staffed kindly and patiently and helpfully, with the normal very good Costa fayre here in the area - And today Sun 23rd : Staff battling on, bearing much work load, on feet all day, and trying to and generally keeping their very good patience most well and very amiable & pleasant. We should be patient with them back too. Some customer service staff use their position on one unkindly heavily and in excess so and get away with it... but not so here as most others cafes about many places a and more they work most kindly and perseveringly, and hours and hours so. And today also seen : Kindly! telling a few young girls that they need buy something to use cafe seats, done in a most exemplary way by the young man staff and of the kind firm word way, as we all need at times. - One can't let everything go and keeping up standards of all our behaviour matters. Service very slow, coffee luke warm, I ordered a one shot latte, it was watery and tasteless. I was not given the cake I ordered and paid for, I had to ask. I was not impressed. This is the 2nd visit to this coffee shop, the first visit I was not impressed, slow service, I ordered a toastie, there was a queue, the toastie was cooked before I got to the end of the queue to be served my coffee. My toastie was left at the end of the counter, where other customers were leaning over it and coughing. I did complain to head office on both occassions, and will NOT be returning. I DO NOT RECOMMEND...

I was spoken to, no shouted at, very rudely by a foreign member of staff this afternoon, for moving a chair in the coffee shop. We do not speak to people that way in this country and I would suggest she needs more training on customer relations skills. I was so taken aback, as I was in the company of several people, I didnot retaliate but left the coffee shop without ordering. We go to Tesco every week and usually go in for coffee....
