Crescent Cafe — Restaurant in Bristol

I was not surprised by the quality at this little gem of a find in Westbury on Trym,; I had spotted it's popularity while passing. However, I was extremely happy that the sheer volume of patrons didn't affect the speed in which our meals arrived. These diner style cafes are increasingly hard to find and this well run family business certainly sets the bar very high and I must be honest, I haven't found one that matches up anywhere in Bristol. The choice for all day meals is impressive without confusion and the plate size really impressive and the price.....no wonder they are busy, a real old school eaterie and service with a smile....refreshing....... Have a semi decent coffee and overpriced muffin at one of the local coffee shops, but if you want to really eat well, without a faux atmosphere, pseudo healthy option and don't need to be seen, this unassuming location really hits the spot. Yesterday I ate a huge cheese and mushroom omlette, with chips, coleslaw side and a mixed salad and it was £5.50. That's just a glimpse of what's on offer and I can't wait to head back there for another tasting session. I just wish they were open in the evenings; such a shame as they close...

The breakfast is great, and they really know how to cook! The staff are friendly, and the place is very clean, making it a perfect spot to visit before starting your day. However, there are a couple of things that could be better. In the morning, it would be nicer to have the news on TV, radio, or a newspaper instead of rap music during breakfast. Also, they could get more customers if they accepted card payments or options like BaoBan or PayPal, as not everyone...

I am from London and came to this place for the first time.

After spending a few mins looking at the menu, I was given a very dirty look by the man behind the counter and was refused to be served.

I was very confused, so I left and did not even attempt to argue or ask why.

I later spoke to some friends from the local area to learn that they are known to refuse people of black/Asian origin.
