Service and food were great. Atmosphere was terrible!! 1st date night for a while, kids away with family and a nice meal planned at paprika.
From the moment we sat down to the moment we left there was 2 kids approx 3-5 sat behind us.This was at 8pm and for the whole dinner all we heard was screaming, crying, shouting and kids youtube being played ridiculously loud on a phone.
We mentioned this to the staff as politely as we could on 2 separate occasions but they didnt do anything. The staff could clearly see that most of the other people sat trying to have a nice evening were also not impressed and yet they couldnt politely ask the parent to try and have respect for the other diners and be a little quieter. Personally I would be embarrassed if my children behaved like that, especially in a restaurant!
So from 8pm till 9.30pm we enjoyed a lovely meal along with some really nice cocktails, all the while we could barely have a conversation due to the screaming and crying! Mentioned again while paying the bill and I was totally ignored! Not even an apology..
I know this is not the restaurants fault. I do feel like they have the responsibility to try and handle a situation such as this so that everyone can have a good evening. The arrogance of some people now astounds me! Poor attitude and a lack of respect for anyone else, but always the 1st to complain when its them!
Not being funny... it sounded like I was at a soft play not a restaurant. Really...

Lamb was dry and pretty chewy and the sauce was stodgy and lacking flavour. Was garnished with spray cream which was a weird choice. Naan bread tasted doughy and also lacking flavour. The upside was the mushroom rice was nice as were the poppadoms and pickles (although no lime pickle).
Overall it wasn't a great experience and i wouldn't eat at Paprika again. The staff were friendly but seemed to forget we were there. The other people i was with seemed to enjoy their curries but personally i wouldn't recommend...
ย ย ย Read moreExcellent service, delicious and ambitious menu. I like the way these guys really try to develop the usual menu items and give them a twist and make them a little extra. This is also one of the few Indian restaurants that service the coconut powder with the popadom and dips. Beer was nice and cold, wine was correct temperature for a red and the service was really friendly. To get 5 stars it would be nice to have a bit more atmosphere. The lighting is a bit garish and the arrangement very dated. I guess itโs always hard as you have to work with the space you have. Great for family meal with...
