Two of us went for dinner on a Friday night a few weeks ago (mid April 2024) and sat in the dining room at the back. Really nice atmosphere and food was good quality gadtro food, great value and good beer to boot. Service was mostly good but unfortunately one of the servers kept asking us if we were finished (e.g. when her colleague had just brought us a new round of drinks) and eventually brought us the bill anyway explaining the kitchen was closing (which is fine, we just didn't know we needed to settle up before 9/9.30pm) and continued to bustle about, irritated, I assume she just wanted to get home. It would be great if either diners were warned about this policy or another way of managing outstanding bills could be organised so diners don't feel like they're inconveniencing staff? We will still revisit but thought worth mentioning assuming management will read...

Really lovely local boozer :-) The interior and garden have both been refurbed really thoughtfully, and now there's a big restaurant area out the back too. We've been in a handful of times and it's always got a really nice, buzzy atmosphere. We've tried a few things off the menu and the olives and focaccia fell a bit short, just because they were both pretty small for the price unfortunately. However the burgers on the main menu were REALLY good (both the vegan and the meat version). The chips were really well cooked and seasoned too, my only small gripe would be that it would've been nice to have a bit of green (like a small bit of salad) on the plate.

Dogs are allowed in the bar but not the restaurant, but you're allowed to order from the restaurant menu and eat in the bar if you have a...

Fantastic traditional pub, with beautiful floral baskets and planters outside; who had really friendly staff wearing a smile, a wide selection of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, and a really great selection of food on the menu, with a real twist on standard pub food. The homemade hummus is fantastic -with roasted vegetables blitzed through it, as are the lamb kofta -to recommend just 2 items, and all the puddings are extremely good. Everything was freshly cooked for our order, and had been cooked and presented very well. The garden is fantastic, a real little haven and as a bonus, is dog friendly. You can even buy really good quality dog treats at the bar, so your dog can enjoy the trip to the pub as well 😁. I highly recommend this lovely pub, and will definitely...

Just had Sunday roast and it was excellent well presented and a good portion good home cooked food with plenty of vegetables and reasonably good value for money atmosphere was relaxed staff did not rush you polite and friendly also compliments to the chef everything perfect Good choice of drinks everything you needed for a relaxing Sunday roast meal Would advise booking for Sunday roast as it appeared busy The menu for normal week days looked as offering a good choice

Went with a friend for a sunday roast and we were not disappointed! took a little while to come out but that might have been growling stomach making time seem longer than it was! Had the beef roast, gravy was good and thick, meat was tasty and not chewy, good selection of veg, good portions. Had the cauliflower and cheese and the pigs n blankets as a side. both were well cooked, bacon was nice and salty, cheese was cooked well and not soupy! Highly recommend it!
