Initially found out about this gem on Facebook on the Bristol CAMRA page posting about their opening night. I made a quip about their whisky selection and was replied to by a member of staff giving their FULL whisky selection including the very hard to find Blantons.
Went down the next day to try it, and several others. The staff were ALL very knowledgeable about their products, each seeming to have their own areas of expertise which is great to see be it cocktails, whisky, gins. Oh and proper whisky glasses, have to mention that... Proper whisky tasting glasses which make all the difference. It's pretty small, so opening night it was packed. Nice to have another bar to go to. Big selection of beer..all starting at £5:90, if you want a 5:5 abv then you are looking at £7. More expensive than Sirens Calling. Wine is £9 to £10 for a 250 ml glass. Cider is at £5:90.
Personally I think they need a couple of go to lower priced beers.
It's new, it's different...
