This is the most friendliest pub I’ve ever been in,I just love it.Lyn and Steve are the most welcoming hosts you would ever meet.They have good entertainment,but I have to admit my favourite nights are with Double Barrel Bernie Edwards,the atmosphere is amazing and the pub is heaving when hes here.The food is outstanding all homemade not the microwave junk.Theyre roast dinners are superb whether you eat in,take away or have it delivered.Steve delivered my Sunday roast the helpings were huge,if you’re not a very big eater,you could split into 2 meals,but me being a greedy pig downed it in one.Its all fresh vegetables,meat that melts in you’re mouth a separate pot of delicious tasting gravy.They also do afternoon teas.Lyn and Steve put a hell of a lot of hard work and effort in to make sure everybody has a good time and...

My sister and I paid for my mum and aunt to go to The Trooper pub for an Afternoon Tea for my mums birthday and Wow we're we all impressed (See pics attached and this was after they'd eaten as much as they could whilst they were there). Our party of four dropped in unexpectedly on a very busy Sunday lunchtime, Great greeting, and we were really (pleasantly) surprised to be told that we could happily enjoy a brilliant roast carvery AND get a table, even though the place was standing room only.
