Shimla Peppers — Restaurant in Bromsgrove

We went to enjoy an evening out with good food and service and having been to Shiela Peppers many times in the past were shocked by the service , we waited 35 minutes before we had anyone came to our table and that was only because I called someone to order our starters. We were given 2 popodoms as an apology for the long wait. We then waited for our iced water and have our table cleared which I had to ask to be done. Again we waited to order our main meals which took another long wait We were very hungry and most annoyed by this time and ready to leave when our meals arrived , 2 full meals and most of a 3rd meal were inedible, 1other meal was half eaten ,my Nan bread had no garlic in it and I was told there was garlic in it by a very disgruntled waiter, I was them given a garlic nan which I did not ask for , this was served by a more agreeable waiter.It was a very unhappy,unwilling group of waiters on this evening Friday 6th of March. I ask to speak with the manager and was told he was away for 2 weeks and the man who made my bill ready said he was in charge . He also said we complained about the nan bread having no garlic in it and they replaced that also they gave us 2 extra poppodoms we didn't ask for either and when asked about our meals we said they were fine and that was before we got to taste them they never came back to our table and they turned away when we tried to make contact with them. It was the worst service and meal ever and I still had to pay for the whole disaster plus listen to the most arrogant , argumentative manager in charge of a restaurant. I hope when the manager or better still one of the directors come back from holiday they will make contact with me to explain what the charges on my bill are for....

The warmest day of the year and we went out for a curry, perhaps not my best idea. It's a nicely presented large room, clean and cool considering they didn't appear to have the air conditioning on. We enjoyed our meal here, all was very good and we had no complaints. The service was a bit functional but I think they were concentrating on a large party. They make a bit of extra effort with the chutney tray which was appreciated. My korai was just a fraction bitter and the wife's balti a "little" thin in flavour but pleasant enough and the chicken in both was excellent. Would give 0 stars if I could as we didn't even receive our order! Ordered at 7 pm and after 5 phones calls asking where the delivery was, being told on numerous occasions the driver was 'on his way' we were advised the driver was now unable to be contacted. After understandably being irate I was told ' you are clearly getting upset let's just cancel the order' I was then hung up on. The driver turned up after 2 and half hours! At this point I had already made an order else where. The driver could not have cared less about the service I received and just walk off once I told him.
