Costa Coffee Cheshunt — Restaurant in Broxbourne

Hi, I had a visit of your store today at around 2pm.

It wasn't busy at the till so I went straight for my order.

At the till, one of the Barista's helped with my order, I ordered 2 Small Signature latte's with Vanilla and Oat milk.

The barista that was on the Coffee machine which I later found out that she is the "Store Manager" with the name of Heda I believe (I couldn't really read her Name off her tag as she had it conveniently covered it with her Hijab.)

My first red flag is that she was chewing gum on the bar and serving and talking while chewing, which as a fellow Barista I find quite unwelcoming and unsanitary during your shift.

2nd red flag, she did not follow basic steps of working on a coffee machine, wether using a clean milk jug to start with or purging her steam rod before using it. so she was basically just pouring cold water from the steam rod into the milk by the way.

After she overcooked my first small signature latte to 180°c she proceeded to use the same jug with filling it with fresh cold oat milk into an overcooked oat milk jug.

That's where I stepped in and told her to clean the jug and not to reheat old milk.

She simply looked at my face and said "There is nothing left in the jug" I said "it does not matter, you have to have a clean and cold jug between each drink to have a good and consistent final coffee"

All I received in return was eye rolls and more gum chewing. Her response was to dash the milk into a sink from a distance which by the way just made a mess of oat milk all over her sink because she did it with a frustrated force that was just genuinely uncalled for.

ALSO TO ADD, A SIGNATURE LATTE AT COSTA SHOULD HAVE A HEART LATTE ART AS THE FINISHING PRODUCT AND NOT AN OVERCOOKED FOAM DROPPED ON TOP LIKE SHE MADE IT FOR ME.

Hope someone higher than her position will see this and maybe have a word with her regarding her customer service and overall attitude especially coming from a Store manager.

If the store manager is reading this. Stop chewing gum on shift. It's disgusting when I'm trying to order a drink.

As Costa Coffee establishments go this is one of the better ones I've visited locally. Clean and very quiet albeit there was a fair number of people using it at the time. Only negative was it appeared grossly understaffed. I only saw one poor girl working her socks off.

Just visited Costa at Cheshunt and sadly my score has gone down since my last visit and the review above. Although today there was more staff, they were painfully slow in serving the increased number of customers. The tables were dirty and the Mockers we ordered were lukewarm. A marked decline across the board for this particular Costa Coffee outlet. I'm hoping similar reviews will prompt Costa to...

Well, I ordered a medium roasted hazelnut hot chocolate with marshmallows and no sprinkles. Once my order was placed I stepped back to wait.

The guy who served me tells the person making the drink a medium latte, I immediately had to step in as this wasn’t what I ordered. I know it was mine as no one else was in there. Then I continued to wait for my drink thinking surely nothing else will happen.

Get home and sit down to enjoy my hot chocolate to open the lid at the end to find no marshmallows. Well as you can imagine I was disappointed. I look forward to that part the most. Never really had any issues before but this really...
