This place has gone downhill and we have been ordering from here for years. My order for sweet and sour vegetables with cashews and chilli with extra cost. This has been wrong twice. Last time I was promised that on my next order that this would be included at no cost and so it should as I paid already. When Tasty house answered they do not give their name. Ordering this time a lady answered the phone and she did not give her name and said there will be a £2 extra charge for my order. I said that this was promised at no extra charge. She challenged me and said that she could not give it as I did not take the name of the man last time to check. I asked her whether she gave her name when she answered. She said I do not have to unless you ask me. I asked to speak to the Manager as I had 2 wrong orders with extra cost so £4 loss and I was only asking for what was promised and for 1 order only. The Manager did not come to the phone. I asked for his name. She said his name is Terry and he cannot come to the phone as he is on delivery and he will call later after speaking to someone in the background. I asked why he could not answer whilst he is there and go off on delivery. She started speaking to someone in the background and agreed to drop the charge. I asked why the Manager could not answer the phone and suddenly a Man answered the phone. He said he was Terry abruptly and he has agreed to the cost and abruptly put the phone down. This left me speechless and reflect on their customer service.
Terry and Theresa, I was only asking for what was promised and putting my order correct as my order was wrong twice and not losing out on what I paid for as you had £4 of my money already. I have learnt my lesson that I should take your name even if you do not provide it. What did you learn by not listening to your customer and the Manager Terry putting the phone down with a customer at a loss!!
I am not one to complain publicly, however, in this instance I feel strongly and you did not listen to a reasonable customer. Read moreLooking for a new Chinese as our regular has closed. We tried this based on the stars on another site. However it was anything but Tasty. The food took nearly 2 hours to arrive. When we called to check on it they made excuses about the website management. When the food did arrive the delivery man said they were very busy so I still had high hopes of good food.
The first thing I tasty were the chips and they were skinny fries style and tasted chewy 😑. The prawns were very lacking in flavour, very over cooked and the batter was stodgy and unappealing. Now sweet and sour chicken is a classic and it definitely varies in colour and flavour but this was lacking in both. Once again overcooked and lots of crunchy batter mixed in for an undesirable crunch. The pineapple in the sauce was also not cooked in properly. Lastly the egg fried rice may as well have been Uncle Ben microwave rice. I would consider this take out to be inferior to a supermarket brand version of takeout. It most definitely would have been quicker to drive to Tesco and come home...
