The Breakfast Bar — Restaurant in Broxbourne

I was disappointed as we brought 2 set breakfasts, both comes with tea or coffee. My partner upgraded to decaf and they said they would charge extra which was ok. They asked me what coffee I would like, which I picked a latte- no extra charge was mentioned about the latte. When the bill came, I noticed that they charged me extra for both coffees (apparently you can only get tea or flat white). This was not mentioned to me at the time of ordering otherwise I would’ve picked flat white that comes with the set breakfast. I raised that I was not informed that there would be an extra charge for the latte, they didn’t care, they only acknowledged and agreed with me that it wasn’t mentioned and still proceeded to charge me. I still paid in full and told them to mention this to the owner so other people do not have the same issue but they did not look like they cared and just said ok. Conclusion - Disappointing

The Breakfast Bar seemed more about the "it place" to be seen and less about the quality of the food. In comparison to other cafes I have been to, and it's possible these cafes all get their ingredients from similar, if not the same place, The Breakfast Bar is most definitely ranked in the bottom 3 of fry ups I have ever had.

We were a party of 3 and we all had something negative to say about the food. 1 friend said "the sausages look like they've been cremated", and they did. Tasted like they had too.

My other friend said "I can make better fried mushrooms than this at home" and honesty, anyone could. Their mushrooms were bland and just not nice. And I just couldn't believe the small portion of, what seemed to be, watered down baked beans that was provided.

That said, the food was all edible. It just didnt taste good and wasn't satisfying.

I have come to the breakfast bar almost every week for about 3/4 years now… the service used to be 10/10 , food is ALWAYS 10/10 …. However me and my grandmother went in and ordered just fine , our food come then my mum and sister joined with the baby and they gave menus and then never come over again. Multiple staff members looked over and as we tried to get their attention for order they instantly looked away??..
