My fiancĂ© and I happened by this amazing place rather by accident on the evening before her birthday after the initial place we’d gone to wasn’t worth the trouble we went to to find it. This wonderful place however is essentially perfect. A small intimate space with beautiful decoration. We were seated immediately and our food was quickly with us. For starter (you will have to bare with me on names as I’m monolingual) I had a mixed meat platter served with delicious flat bread. My partner had warm olive bread. Both were perfect and we find that they also partnered with each other very well. For mains I had one of their amazing stone baked pizzas. (See picture). It was piping hot and perfectly seasoned, it was so good I ended up demolishing it in close to 10 minutes. My partner had gyros with chicken and salad in them served with fries and was more than happy with them. For desert I had the chocolate brownie with ice cream and my fiancĂ© had the tiramisu. Now as a heads up, their deserts all appear to be served with strawberry’s, we didn’t know this and my partner is extremely allergic but there was no problem and replacement desert was supplied near instantly. Both were simply divine. My brownie perfectly warm and the ice cream was delicious. The staff are so welcoming and you can see the chefs tossing dough through the serving hatch really adding to the feel. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is truly amazing. We will definitely be going back for dinner and probably to try breakfast.

Bistro 66: Another spot on our radar for a while. I actually thought it had closed down. Our first visit today. I can’t say I was thrilled or impressed. Nothing really stood out to me. The vibe is great but nothing spectacular, the location is perfect, in the centre of Beeston, with plenty of parking in surrounding areas. Bistro 66 has masses of potential to boast what it has but sadly I felt they had let themselves down. The Menu is great with some great options. The prices a little too steep in my opinion. Along with the Food industry runs the hygiene industry and Bistro 66 are seriously lacking in hygiene. They definitely need to employ a cleaner for a start. The push plates for the toilets were greasy, the toilets were not cleaned at all and a nice surprise at the bottom of the bowl too. The sensor taps are intermittent and don’t work properly either. Simple changes could make Bistro 66 an attractive option for NG area. I ordered the carbonara, I was not overly impressed. I felt it was swimming in cream sauce and just too cheesy for me. The best part of Bistro 66 is the pizza oven. The pizzas are incredible and the only reason I would return. 🍕 After ordering food, no one came to check on us, which let the service down a bit too. I would love to give Bistro 66 another chance as I feel it has ‘bags’ of potential and something special. I hope I can experience its true potential on my next visit. Thank you for my first experience. đŸ’«

Up market eatery and on trend !!! On looking at the menu it is very much a Greek influenced and classic British fusion . I fancied the flat bread filled with humus or chicken , but I saw the portion was very generous , as I only wanted a light bite snack I opted for an egg on toast , but to my surprise their was a good choice option on my bread selection of brown white or flat or sourdough which was nice . A lot of the food supplied has been locally and ethically sourced to boost the local community and to provide a good standard of dining at prices that most people can afford , coffee is of a very high standard and is ground in Nottingham by the 200 degree company and is served at it's very best on taste and should please the most discriminating of palates . The atmosphere is bright and contemporary without being brash , and tables are spacious and well placed and are kept very clean . The staff are polite and friendly and approachable , the kitchen is in view and is cleaned to a very high standard . WC facilities were up stairs and were cleaned to a good standard I went after noon as it can get busy , during the mid day rush but it was pleasant and enjoyable , on first impressions I was impressed and will visit again , I hope they continue to do well . Recommended for a good cup of coffee and a brunch with friends or that...
