Exceptional Dining Experience at Frankie and Benny's!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Frankie and Benny's, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the inviting ambiance set the tone for what turned out to be a delightful culinary journey.
My choice "The Big One" for breakfast was a gastronomic masterpiece. The array of sausages, bacon, eggs, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast with Flora butter, and the delectable potato croquettes made for a hearty and satisfying meal. The addition of hash brown-like round bites added an extra layer of flavor, perfectly complemented by the rich and savory brown sauce. Every element was thoughtfully crafted and expertly prepared, resulting in a breakfast that not only filled the appetite but also left a lasting impression.
The impeccable service provided by Mark elevated the entire dining experience. Mark's charm and attentiveness were evident throughout, creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. His friendly demeanor added a personal touch, turning a meal into a memorable occasion. It is rare to encounter such genuine hospitality, and Mark's dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction deserves commendation.
The attention to detail, both in the culinary offerings and service, reflects the commitment of Frankie and Benny's to providing an exceptional dining experience. The seamless combination of delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service, particularly thanks to Mark, makes this establishment stand out.
In conclusion, my visit to Frankie and Benny's was a culinary delight, and I am eager to return to savor more of their offerings. The commitment to excellence demonstrated by the staff, especially Mark, deserves recognition, and I will certainly be recommending this establishment to friends and colleagues. Thank you for a truly memorable...
Read moreVery disappointing. Won't be back.
Went last Year October (2023). It was their usual brilliant standard. Same aesthetic, same food. It was brilliant.
Today however was so far from the many good meals I've had here. I can understand now why in recent years there's only a handful of restaurants left. Which I was surprised about. But I just don't think they have been on trend for a long time.
So they've gone for a total modern rebrand. Painted all the lovely oak wood in grey tones. Re upholstered the booths. Modern lighting. Painted brick work. New tiles in bathroom. Blinds on the windows showing New York scenes. Brand new menu and dishes. With their added Frankie and Benny's classics.
I booked a table but didn't need to as they weren't even half full. We waited ages to be seated. I'm disabled use a crutch and can't stand for ages. A server was just casually having a conversation at the bar with a customer.
I had the spaghetti and meatballs. My friend has the chicken piccante. A coke zero and a Fanta. And they're classic garlic pizza bread with cheese. I ate the spaghetti and left the meatballs. They didn't taste fresh, tasted like maybe they was brought pre-made and frozen, or left over from the day or the night before. Garlic pizza bread wasn't great either. Swimming in oil and just no substance to the dough. Chicken piccante wasn't quite edible either. Told the waitress and their manager took the charge off for the meatballs.
Really wouldn't recommend going. I won't be going again. No blaring cliff Richard "congratulations". I don't think they do it any more. It doesn't fit with their rebrand. For me they need to get back to their roots. Back then you used to wait hours for tables and have the little buzzer things. These places used to be packed out. Same music. You used to be able to buy CDs and condiments. Which they haven't done for a...
Read moreI hate writing poor reviews but sadly it is what it is. I'm a big foodie and remember Frankie and Bennys from many years ago. I have fond memories of the great quality food and fantastic service, they made themselves famous for.
On entering it was like any other F&B, we were met and shown to our table. We then ordered drinks which was super prompt and very good. We ordered potatoe🥔 skins and some mains. When the starter arrived it was on a small plate with melted cheese and a sprinkling of chives. I wasn't impressed but it was tasty so OK.
We then had our mains, I had a cajun burger and my wife some pasta. I was expecting some pot cooked brisket but it didn't come with any, it was puzzling. There was no taste of the green chilli, no cajun flavours and it didn't come with cheese. It did have a nice sauce but it was like eating a big mac. It was tasty so I just went with it, however the cost was 13.00 for the burger.
The plates are very small, really poor in quality, I guess that's so we don't notice the size of portion. The quality of the burger was very poor and not as advertised in the menu but the pasta was delicious, I was quite jealous of my wife's meal.
Luckily the meal was saved by a young waiter who deserves to be better treated by his co-workers. He built rapport quickly enjoyed some banter and we tipped him heavily because he was fast on his feet and very helpful. He saved this restraunt from getting one star so good job. Tbh I nearly offered the lad a job myself.
So in short, great service, OKish food, better booze. I truly hope 🙏 Frankie and Bennys goes back to quality over quantity, however I'm sure margin will prevail and it will be consigned to the same dumpster as the little chef, wimpy or the happy eater....
