Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in Broxtowe

I visited this cafe with my mum this afternoon and despite the fact that my mum insisted that we sat at this specific table with dirty plates left on it even though there was plenty of clean tables, they were soon taken away by one of the waitresses a few minutes after we sat down and the woman that served us at the counter seemed to speak to us in what felt like a slightly sarcastic manner and looked me up and down which made me feel quite uncomfortable, the service was still brilliant.

We were served quickly, the food arrived swiftly despite the cafe being reasonably busy and was fresh, hot and tasted absolutely delicious (I had a chip cob and mum had a jacket potato), the portions were well sized and were superb quality for the cheap price, we were offered condiments and asked after we'd finished if everything was okay for us. The atmosphere despite the counter incident was relaxing, warm and welcoming, there were plenty of tables that were reasonably spaced out, it seemed to be very clean, fresh and well kept and there was a wide variety of delicious cakes, food and drinks avaliable, I'm a fussy eater and can never find something I'd like to eat with ease but there was tons of great choices so I didn't struggle choosing whatsoever. Overall, it was a positive experience and we'll definitely be returning as the food and drink went down a treat and we both really enjoyed our time here, the quality of the food for the price is exceptional and is by far one of the best supermarket...

Have visited today with my partner as i am an nhs worker morrisons are giving 75% of menu items in there cafes. Well it seemed every morrisons cafe but this one when we asked about this deal not one single member of staff seemed to know about this despite me using the cafe monday 3 july and posters advertising this deal were near the till and the member of on the till said yes this was going ahead on wednesday 5 july for one day. After a load of confusion ordering meals was told the bill would be £30pounds after ordering 3 main meals 2 cakes and 2 drinks my partner queried this and said 75% of 30 was 7.50 but not one of there staff could fathom it out after calling a manager so we could get the discount we finally got it sorted. It seemed to us that they couldnt be bothered to promote this deal as it was far to much trouble for them.Even the girl at the till then admitted afterwards they knew about this deal as it had been on the internet and facebook why lie in the first place sorry morrisons but you need to educate your staff on promotions plus better customerr service.May i add called in here to have fish and chips about a month ago only to be told they wernt doing hot food as the cook was off sick come on your a business surely you could of got cover very poor excuse ps i agree with other reviewers the cutlery and cups are always dirty when i pointed this out the server behind the counter pulled a face and said why am i not suprised has not put me off...

This is a great cafe, easy to get to, lots of parking, disabled friendly facilities, all on one level, baby changing facilities too.

The meals are well priced, taste good and mostly brought to you in good time. The menu isn't huge but it does cater for most tastes. You can have hot or cold food and drinks, and the same goes for deserts.

Staff are mostly happy, Friendly and helpful (only ever met one that wasn't).

The seating area is fairly large, different types of seating and tables, so it's ideal whether you are popping in for a meal or just a quick coffee.

They work hard to keep it clean and tidy, and are always clearing things up.

The four stars instead of five are for two simpley solved reasons.

They don't always have the condiments area stocked, which is puzzling considering how much attention they give to the place.

They have staff and store announcements almost constantly blurting out, none of which are relevant for the cafe area. When I mentioned this their excuse was that it can't be helped because they installed the speakers in there and they have no control over which areas of the store announcements are made.

So every part of the store hears them, from the front to back in store rooms etc...

Very old fashioned approach.

Other than these two niggles, it's a great cafe and ideal for a quality low...
