Sinatra's Restaurant — Restaurant in Broxtowe

We visited Sinatra’s after it was recommended to us by some friends as we were looking for somewhere to spend our wedding anniversary. The proprietors Karen and Alivini were extremely friendly and accommodating. What was good for us but not for them was the fact that we were the only 2 people in the restaurant so service was just at the right pace. They left us alone but were always on hand if we wanted anything. We loved the fact that the background music was in keeping with the venue; Italian songs and of course, a bit of Sinatra. The food was absolutely fabulous; genuine Italian food cooked by a genuine Italian. Some of the previous revues have said that the portions were on the small side but we think that they were just about right and we were happy with the bill at the end! If you have seen any previous revues about Sinatra’s that are less than 4 or 5 stars, take them with a pinch of salt – some people just love to find fault. We can’t find any fault at all and will...

Average food and slow service. We came in for an evening meal and instantly thought the place needed a makeover, wood cladding everywhere and it was cold.

We placed our orders and it took about 30 minutes for the starters to arrive, one by one. The prawn dish came out wrong so was quickly swapped for the correct one, but so quick it must have been frozen. Mains came out, again one by one, and portions were pretty small, stroganoff tasted burnt, chicken dish was basic however the calzone was tasty and large, but dough was undercooked in places.

Everything had lettuce even the stroganoff which had little meat and lots of mushrooms. The chips were like chip shop chips and not what i expected from an Italian restaurant.

What a delightful restaurant, came here just over a year ago, the owner and waiting staff were friendly and attentive, the food was to die for, authentic Italian food cooked by the owners husband who happens to be Italian. The decor is a little shabby, but on the whole that doesn't matter in the least.. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone. UPDATE MARCH 2023. This small family restaurant now offers breakfast and lunches Tuesday to Saturday, my wife and I have just had our 45th wedding anniversary lunch here, the food, as usual, was wonderful, redecoration has been undertaken in the restaurant, but the rest room facilities are very tired and in need of updating, this wouldn't put me off returning though.
