Disappointing but not unable to be fixed

Went for lunch with my girlfriend on Saturday. Live in Stapleford so always want to support little local businesses. Got 2 lattes, Egg Benedict & a Bacon & Brie cranberry baguette with chips. £20ish. Decent price and exactly right for it to be an easy decision just to nip out for lunch.

That said the coffee I got was half empty in cheap glasses. I know lattes are foamy but the other coffee was correctly filled. The glasses as well just show a lack of care to me. Coffee tasted fine.

Eggs Benedict, Hollandaise was superb but the egg rather than nicely poached was basically hard boiled and not runny at all. The Bacon, Brie cranberry. There was almost no Brie. The bacon which we did as to be crispy was done to perfection.

Also got Bubble teas to take out after which were severely disappointing, Hing Kee in Beeston should be the gold standard for Nottingham Bubble teas and this place is far far from it.

Staff we nice but very very slow considering their was only one other customer in, I could see they had a lot of deliveroo/just eat orders going out but maybe priotise the customers in there, 10 minutes+ for just the coffees isn't a good look.

I beg the owners that all these things are easily fixable and their are flourishes of quality so I hope this place succeeds but there are places just over the bridge that offer that premium lunch at a more...

This cafe has sadly changed and it's no longer the great little cafe it used to be. I recently ordered a sausage and bacon cob to take away. This should have been a simple, quick order, unfortunately I had to wait 25 minutes for this. The cafe wasn't particularly busy, with only six people in there. Another table who arrived before me had to ask where their food was. The others, who again had arrived before me, had their food brought out just before mine so must have been waiting for around 30 minutes. However, bags of food were leaving to be delivered, it does seem that delivery orders are prioritised over people in the cafe. Not only was it slow service, but all of the tables had dirty dishes on them from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. No effort was made to clean them. No warning given on wait times and no apology for the wait. These things might have been forgiven if the food was as good as it used to be, but there seems to be a drop in quality there as well. If you see the photo attached this is what I received for a bacon and sausage cob. It's simply not good enough. However, I will say that when someone ordered the eggs Benedict they did look good (but with a 25-30...

I went here recently with my family, and, overall, it wasn't the best experience. First of all, we ordered orange juice, and they gave us apple juice instead. Then, they take a while to bring out an extra glass, only for it to be dirty on the inside. The english breakfasts were good, but my sibling ordered poached eggs. They couldn't do it twice, then said there was an issue with the machine. I wish they had told us beforehand! Afterwards, we decided to just do fried eggs..and one still didn't have a runny yolk. Finally, we decided to order a few drinks, and they forgot about them for a good half an hour. The staff are friendly, but it was still a fairly unorganised experience. Edit: They got the drinks wrong as well. But because it all took around 2 hours, we didn't have the time for them to remake them. And so, we just had to leave. I think their main issue is that there were only two staff (from what I could see) but that doesn't immediately excuse their actions. Hopefully, they'll take this as constructive criticism so that they...

Visited this place today (Saturday) it was relatively quiet with a steady stream of customers. My friend and I had iced coffees but both barely tasted like coffee and far too much syrup had been put into my iced latte. We both had a panini, the chicken in the chicken tikka and cheese panini was dry and not of a good quality and in low quantity. The bacon Brie and cranberry panini was nice with thick bacon. It would have been nice to have more sauces to go with the fries. Overall, the food was an average and not super cheap. I won’t be in a hurry to return here.
