Vivos restaurant is situated on the main road in stapleford & has very good connections for local transport & has a very nearby bus stop , plus it's very own car park to the rear which is free for it's customers , so no worries about time slots for parking charges . The premises are kept clean to a very high standard & I noticed a hand sanitizer dispenser is available for customer use , which is a good option for safety & hygiene . The decor is ultra modern contemporary & mood lit with various lighting features that are changing throughout the day , depending on the time of your visit , the night time is especially pleasant as the blue hues & spot lit corners add to a very romantic & intimate atmosphere . The music policy at the time of my visit was modern Italian popular music & it was playing at an ambient level of volume so as not to overpower the vivo dining experience . The food @ vivos is classic Italian & also some modern takes Vivo style !! , which are prepared by the highly skilled Vivo chefs , who can be seen working Their magic in the open view chefs cooking station which is a unique feature of the restaurant . The pizza here is a hand crafted variety & not a generic bought in base !! , so please don't expect a uniform mass produced style pizza , this is classic pizza & pizza done well !! . Vivos also do have an extensive varied menu that caters for most tastes , from pasta to meat & fish options , plus a Prezzo fisso menu for the early diner , which is a good value for money option . Vivos also has a good selection of alcoholic drinks & a good selection of Italian fruit soda's which are sensibly priced , I had the house wine upon my visit & it was of a very good standard ! , particularly the rosé which was very easy going & served well chilled . The staff/ owners are very welcoming , polite & friendly & always make your visit a special one . So if you like classic Italian food & good service , coupled with pleasant surroundings then vivos could be your next place visit . RECOMMEND PIZZA THE CLASSIC MARGHERITA , RECOMMEND LIQUOR THE CLASSIC STREGA !! traditional herbal liquor from Benevento , a must for the more adventurous...

When I usually write a review and struggle to find the words a simple pros & cons list is a good idea, but for Vivo in Stapleford the pros would read "lights were on." With nothing else.

Me and my girlfriend when during eat out to help out and knocked a £40 meal to £20 and I still feel like a overpaid.

The "'manager" lacked any charm or decorum and not in a European/Italian way in a inattentive and rude way. The waitress who brought our drinks (after a 15 minute wait) was present and nice.

For a starter after a 15 minute wait we ordered a combo of bread, olive oil & balsamic vinegar with a Calprese salad because Bruschetta seemed to be out of remit of kitchen. It was decent but for the price to quality ratio it was poor.

The main course was Carbonara for the girlfriend and a 'Nduja Pizza. The bubbling and burnt base confirmed the lack of authenticity of any member of staff. Most Italians would be ashamed to serve the pizza. The Carbonara was clearly not fresh pasta and a cream based sauce rather than a real Carbonara made from egg. A jar sauce would do better.

The pizza marinara was bland and just seem to be tomato. No garlic, no pepper, no salt, no flavour at all. The Cheese was plastic and cubed. I think if the and I use this term very lightly " Chefs " tasted real mozzarella their heads may explode. Also the over salt of Nduja was overpowering.

Third cause was a bought in Tiramisu. It was bad but at this point I wasn't expecting much.

The décor feels like an airport lounge combined with a blind 80 year olds house with loud dance music and harsh lighting. Dreadful.

I don't think the polentoni Northern owners would be chased out of Naples if they served this meal to a child. I will not weep when this place goes out of business. If I could give...

We booked a 6.30 table for 2 a couple of weeks ago thinking that service and food would be better earlier in the evening. Wrong on both counts. The owner was irritable bordering rude after keeping us waiting while he stressed over the large party that arrived the same time as us. Despite there being 2 waitresses standing around and 2 bar staff he appeared to be determined to take all food orders and serve food himself. He gave the impression of being a very controlling man. When the food finally arrived it was lukewarm. The tarragon sauce didn't appear to have any tarragon in and the portion size of my friends ravioli was very small. It felt as though the chefs were trying to eek out the food that they had as otherwise there wouldn't have been enough for the large party as well as the other customers who were arriving. We had to wait around for someone to bring the card reader so we could pay the bill. Not a relaxing evening at all with unimpressive food. We won't be...

My son requested Italian for his birthday meal and, oh my word, what a treat it was! The food was out of this world! Beautifully presented and so delicious I wanted to savour it for the rest of the night. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, we didn't feel rushed and allowed plenty time to choose our food and enjoy our night. The prices are very reasonable too! Thank you for making my son's birthday so special, he was telling all his friends how amazing it was. We will definitely be coming back, as he said "to try everything that's on the menu." I'd give 20 stars if I could! Edit: I have been back since for Mother's Day and my birthday to try different dishes. It didn't disappoint! Fabulous food and very fastive atmosphere, I can't wait to go back. Massimo and Alex always make it an amazing experience!
