Peter's Tea Room — Restaurant in Bury

Tried this cafe for the first time last week and wasn't impressed. We sat outside I asked one of the staff do we go inside to order she said yes. Then next minute another member came to the table to take our order, at the same time taking an order from the table next to us. We was serve cold cake's on red hot plates and had to ask could we have cold plates. The milk they gave us had been sat out on another table in the sun, this was off we had to ask for some fresh. A few minutes later we was informed along with the table next to us they would be closing in 10 mins, a few minutes later another member of staff came along to remind they were closing. If they had if told us this when we was ordering we wouldn't...

We pass this place every week and there's always a queue outside for tables so we thought we should give it a go.

There is lots of choice on the menu with hot and cold food and the food was ok. I was a little disappointed that the extra £1.30 on my breakfast entitled me to 1 slice of black pudding, being the market of the famous Bury Black Pudding I was expecting a little more!

Disappointingly as well we had to ask for our drinks at the end of our meal as they'd been forgot about.

Overall it was "ok" but not something we'd be queuing...

A bustling little cafe on bury market, they are stretched for space so expect to be sat pretty close to the table next to you. The food was nice but unfortunately as someone else had mentioned our drinks never arrived and we had to chase them after eating which is a pet...
