Visiting family in the area so decided to come here for brunch one Saturday. Big mistake…Food took around 25 mins to turn up whilst everyone around us even those who had arrived after were getting their food. When I queried i was told it would be five minutes spoiler alert it wasn’t. When my food finally arrived it had bacon on it when I’d specifically ordered a vegetarian dish. Instead of getting an apology when advising the waitress I was asked why I couldn’t eat bacon….thought my cousin opposite wearing a hijab would give that away but to educate not everyone in the world eats bacon. Either way it wasn’t what I ordered. I then had to wait for a replacement but at this point I just wanted to leave. When I told the waitress I no longer wanted a replacement I’d say minutes after she took my previous dish away she told me the replacement would be a few minutes spoiler alert it wasn’t. I then had what can I assume is a member of management come over to “explain the situation” don’t recall actually receiving an apology for the awful service just a speech of excuses including the machine stopped working, I was given someone else’s order etc Oh and I still didn’t get any food by the end of this. My cousin who ordered the French toast found it mediocre. I understand mistakes can happen but it’s how those are dealt with. I wouldn’t go as far to say this cafe is racist like some other reviews but maybe diversity training is needed and some training in how...

Visit: 23 October 2022

The weather was grey and wet but Bloom was abuzz with people enjoying good coffee and good food in a friendly, welcoming venue with personable and efficient staff. I look forward to my trips to Bury, just to go here.

Visit: 28 October 2021

It was fairly busy the afternoon I visited, a mix of mum & babies, friends catching up over food and others grabbing a drink to go. That leads me to believe its a popular spot, because next door is another coffee shop, that wasn't as busy.

That said, I can't talk about the coffee as I drink tea and they managed to do a good job of adding water to a mug containing a teabag. I'm not joking, try ordering tea in Strbcks to see how bad it can be!

I had a spiced chicken burger and fries, which was really good, my only gripe was the use of a too small brioche bun. I get brioche is good but they generally don't handle moisture, combine that with an oversized filling and you've a disaster waiting to fall on your lap/table/floor.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. It made sense that...

Left disappointed today, used to come here regularly and it was fantastic, I moved away but returned whilst visiting home.

There was clearly not enough staff for the amount of customers and it was chaotic. Tables were left dirty and with old cups/plates for a long time. Our table was filthy and I had to request twice for it to be cleaned (even though the drinks had already been put down, so they had seen)

I wanted to request something extra that I had forgot to order and so said 'excuse me' to a passing waitress, only to be told in a rude manner 'I'll be back in a minute'. I didn't mind that she had to return, but I expected some politeness, when she did return it was quite obvious that she felt put out.

The food was good, not as good as it used to be but still nice, they did however forget the extra item that I ordered.

It wasn't a pleasant experience and one I won't...

Ordered two eggs with bacon on sourdough and when it arrived it was -the bacon. No big deal and the lovely waitress apologised and brought the bacon separately. The dish was quite poor considering how the other reviews have praised the food here. The sourdough was rock hard (it had been toasted but was clearly past its best). The bacon which arrived later was like shoe leather which is a shame as it’s so easy to get this right. I also didn’t like the decaf coffee but tbf that could have been the blend. On the plus side the service was excellent (apart from the missed bacon) and the waitress was delightful.

Stopped by for coffee and brunch. The coffee ordered was EXCELLENT lovely strong and flavoursome although it was served on the cold side being my only grip. The food we had was well presented and tasted good. The cafe itself is a bit shall I say rustic? As the chairs are all mismatched and some are like old school chairs. The service was friendly and drinks arrived in a good time frame but the food we ordered did seem to take a while but it is to be expected when busy or customised orders are placed. Give it a go if you're near by, I'd definitely go back for the coffee alone.
